Hi my name is Marc, i'm a political science student from germany, 26years old, and will be doing an internship in Nairobi starting in mid. Feb. I am looking for a furnished place to stay in from Feb.15 to April16. My budget is bewteen ksh 20,000-25,000. The adress of the place I´m going to do the internship is: Riverside Westlane, off Riverside Drive. If possible, I would want to live relatively close to the office, let´s say, not more than 30 minutes by "public" transport (matutu or taxi). I am looking for a place to share with housemates, since I would enjoy doing trips with other kenya "visitors" on the week-ends and have people to talk to and have a beer with after work.

Im Philip, an Architect working in Nairobi. I live in nyayo estate , a nice safe clean estate near the main airport. I can definately work within your budget for a homestay. you gat your own room and a house keeper to do your cleaning and laundry. With a little extra i can include meals. I have a guest house in Lavington which can suit your needs. Currently one of the bedrooms downstairs will be vacant at the time you are looking for accomodation. I have 4 senior high school students living in the house at the moment and sharing. The house is like 10 minutes drive or less to riverside by taxi and i can organize transport services during your stay. My charges are Ksh 1500 per day for bed and breakfast. I also have a staying in house keeper who can do your laundry at no extra cost. The house is furnished and its just that home away from home feel, we have TV and internet can be connected upon request. Our gardens are so beautiful to relax over the weekends.
However what i cant promise is people to drive around with over the weekends and also have a beer with after work, because your house mates will be students. However i can have that organised for you outside the house at no extra cost.

Hi I saw you info on the guesthouse-what is it called and do you offer monthly rates for couples? My husband and I need a place for the month of March but have been offered small apt. for about the same rate your place would be if paying your daily rate of $18US per day=$540 month. We do not need meals just room with kitchen.Thanks

The guest house is called House of Finesse and its in Lavington, i can offer monthly rates for couples. USD 18 is the rate for bed and breakfast per person per day and so for you and your husband it would be USD36 per day, however since you wish to make your own meals then i can give you a very affordable rate of USD18 per day for both of you. I see you wish to stay for 2 months right? This will also include in house laundry and house keeping services. You can be sure you will enjoy your stay.
