I'm an easy going engineer, looking for a place to live in nairobi, as I've just transfered jobs from mombasa. I'm basically easy-going, enjoy the ocassional night out, and respect other people's privacy. Non smoker, quite social. Would like to rent from October onwards. (If sharing, can pay around 15,000 or so for the room depending on the total rent of the appartment).

Which areas are you looking for?

I am contemplating a job offer in Nairobi near Autorama Building, Haile Selassie Avenue.I am planning to take up a furnished apt in a safe neighbourhood close to my workplace.Should not be very expensive but decent with all amenties provided.It could be a two room apt also.
Which are the decent/safe neighbourhoods for Indians to stay close to the workplace mentioned above.

How much would be a good salary to ask for in USD for a senior position in an IT company.

What would be the cost of living for an individual in Nairobi.
