I have recently come back from a nice holiday in Kenya. I am looking for cheaper ways of sending money to a lady I got to know there. I have used the moneygram system and it works well but as you say the cost is very high.
The lady in question does have a mobile phone and also uses the internet cafe. Can you tell me a bit more of how the system works please. I am also looking for ways to get a parcel to her that dosnt cost the earth.

Try www.tumapesanyumbani.com they are a UK based company but as long as you have a credit card/ debit card you can send money from anywhere in the world then the recipient can collect the money from 20th Century Plaza ground floor in town or they can send the money to the recipients phone or they can deposit it in their account.

They charge no commission on transfers.

No mobile phone? sounds fishy.Be careful and wary of being used.
