Small Business in Cairo

Hi all

Can some one please explain to me what is ruquirement to open Small Business in Egypt/Cairo? and what kind of Business that is available? One of my Friend want move to Cairo and she want find out if she can open her own business since it may not be easy to get a Job there... do you have to be Egyptian Citizen to do that? what kind of money do you need to have to open a small business...such as Internet Cafe or maybe do some Trading business.......she is NOT sure yet what to do...but she needs some information ..Thanks all

it seems your friend is at cross roads as to what to do,the mature thing to do is for her to first go to egypt as a visitor to see for herself,otherwise it is a waste of money and time for anyone going to a foreign place and investing without studing the matter,get my point??

Interested about your requist, and i feel i can strongly be helpful - as an Egyptian bussinessman-
FYI, small business are not allowed in Egypt exept with 51% egyptian partner, the only way to have business for forigners in Egypt is under investment laws, which needs at least aprox. 100 thausand us$ mainly in production sector.

I am from the uk jest started small biasness in Cairo you do not need partner it cost me about £400 to heir law farm he will do every thing for you
starting business need only about £20000

this is me tonino,i am italian egyptian i advice you to have busniss in trading ,imp&exp ,egypt is open market and i think you will get good busniss here ,
and you havnt be egyption to open busniss here but it will be better if you have egyptian partner to find every thing easy but be carefull
