travel around africa

I hoping in about 18 months to travel from morocco to tanzania around the coast of africa for 6 months. I don't know where to start with planning it. Any advice on anything from visas to feasibility would be welcome. There will hopefully be 2-4 of us. I realise some coutries on the coast would be difficult to go through for various reasons.

Have a good look through the countries you will be travelling through on this site, there`s a lot of info available, check the latest travel advices from the foreign offices linked on this site, subscribe to the Africa Guides newsletter, and finally post a message here (oh you already did that), don`t forget to post specific country questions in those forums if you have any.

Also get some good guide books.
