Hello! My family and I will be moving to Zambia in less than a month or so. We're coming all the way from California! We have a 2 year old little boy. I'm trying to learn as much as possible about this beautiful country.

A few of my main concerns are vehicles. We will need to purchase one there. I'd prefer to purchase an older/used vehicle. How much USD do you believe this will run us?

Any advice and tips you may have or websites to stalk, I'd love to hear it.

Also I am going to school for my MBA online. How reliable is internet?

How much can I expect a Nanny and a Maid to run us? Cook? Gardner?

Thank you very much !

This will give you a few things to think about. see luangwablondesdotcom.
Import duties are high in Zambia so you see more older vehicles and they tend to be well used and expensive. Look out for stolen vehicles. Be sure the chassis and vin #s have not been altered and match, and the paperwork not forged. I am not familiar with the registration process. It would be a good idea to visit the Zambian motor vehicle department and familiarize yourself with what is involved. You might want to find out how/where the embassy and NGO staffs dispose of their vehicles when they leave the country. You know they would have followed protocol for legally registering their vehicles and they maybe somewhat more motivated to sell when they are departing soon.

The internet(and WiFi)is available in major cities.

Awesome. My husband will be working at the Embassy. I'll be sure to have him ask them about any vehicles for sale!!

Thank you again!
