Hi everyone,
I just wanted to draw attention to the situation in Lesotho, South Africa’s smaller and less affluent neighbour, and the work that Send a Cow is doing to improve the situation. Lesotho has huge problems with the cultivation and sustainability of foodstuffs within the country. Send a Cow teaches families and communities sustainable agricultural techniques that are helping to deal with the tough conditions of Lesotho – mountainous terrain, cold, harsh winters and water scarcity. One such technique being employed by Send a Cow is the ‘keyhole garden’. Used by many across Africa, these space- and water-conserving gardens recycle as they grow, allowing a steady and varied supply of food throughout the year.
In recognition of their life-changing work in Lesotho, they have been awarded £190,000 by the Isle of Man Overseas Aid committee for which Send a Cow are now seeking match-funding.
I’m really hoping to raise as much awareness as possible for the charity so please visit Send a Cow’s
