travelling alone

In December I’ll be traveling to Mozambique overland from Malawi eventually making my way to Joburg. I’ll have about 10 days to get to Joburg via Mozambique and would like to get some ideas of things to do and places to visit along the way. I’m not into snorkeling or diving but do enjoy hanging out and relaxing on the beach and sightseeing. Also could anyone recommend places to stay as well. I’ll be traveling alone and would prefer staying in guest houses/lodges or hostels that offer single en suite rooms. If anyone else will be traveling in Mozambique around the 1st week in December please get in touch with me because it would be nice to hook up with other single travelers. Thanks in advance
