Malambe Camp

Description

Malambe Camp is the newest place in Cape Maclear, on the lake shore and in the centre of Chemebe Villlage. 

We have our own permanent tents and camp  facilities with beds and mattresses, single and double or family sized.  We also have a large dorm and bamboo huts.  However, if you prefer to bring your own tent we still have enough shaded camping ground to accommodate you. 

For the added value of making you feel like you are in the bush, we have made sure of having some braai areas around and a few potjie pots for your use.  They are strategically placed so you can watch the sunset as you prepare for your evening meal.

If you're too bushed whacked to self cater, we can also chef you up some good, home cooked style meals in the kitchen.  We do breakfast, lunch, snacks and evening meals, with a bar that serves alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including spirits.

If you want to cook for yourselves you are welcome to do so, and we have an onsite shop if you run out of supplies.

Facilities and day trips include: boat hire, snorkeling, sundowners. fishing, speed boat, skiing, sailing...

How To Find Us

Private car: From Monkey Bay take the Cape Maclear road. After about 17 km you should see the first turn off to Cape Maclear. Ignore this and carry on for a few more minutes. You will see the second turn off. Take this road and this will bring you directly in front of Malambe Camp. It is also sign posted at the turn off.

Matola: From Monkey Bay jump on a Matola heading to Cape Maclear. This will take you into the village. Ask the driver to stop at Malambe Camp
