Mumbo Island is the jewel of the Lake Malawi National Park. Remarkably isolated – it is 10km from the nearest land and the surrounding waters are 100m deep - it has never been inhabited by man and its forest and surrounding waters are in a pristine natural state. Today it lies within an exclusive concession, guaranteeing privacy in paradise.

This tranquil island camp is ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends. For the sporty there is swimming, sea kayaking, snorkeling, SCUBA diving and nature trails. Or heed the call of a shady hammock next to the water and just “time-out”.

How To Find Us

Our reception is on the beach at Cape Maclear. Here you take a boat out to Mumbo Island which lies 10km offshore.
