WALKING AND GAME DRIVING KRUGER SAFARI COMBO

Come join us for an adventure of a lifetime! Experience the splendour and tranquility of the bush.
PART 1
For the first 5 days you are privately guided in an open-sided game viewing vehicle, your game drives are exceptional in that your guide is able to interpret the behaviour, the ecology and relationships of and between all the animals, vegetation and landscapes you see during your game drives with him. His accreditations and qualifications as a field guide and trails ranger are exemplary, and coupled with 15 years of experience in the Kruger make your time with him a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Big 5 sightings of elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and African buffalo are just as rewarding as all the aspects of being in the African bush in amongst the 148 mammal species, over 500 birds, 350 tree species and a huge diversity of landscapes and eco-zones. It’s our ability to interpret this amazing diversity of wildlife, of cultural and historical influences, as well as unravel the ecological secrets and mysteries that make Africa so special that makes us leaders in private guiding in the Kruger National Park.
Kruger nights are wonderful - the southern skies play host to the nocturnal calls of hyenas, jackals, baboons and lion all while you enjoy once-in-a-lifetime moments in the African bush.
Two game drives every day - no schedule for the length or diversity of the game drives except your needs, and what the bush delivers.
PART 2
Then get ready to walk with the animals, armed with a respect, knowledge and appreciation of their behaviour, their ways and their sounds. This is undeniably a different level of experience – no longer sitting in the comfort of a game viewing vehicle as a watcher, you are ready to interact and participate in their daily routines and activities.
In the mornings you set off at first light after a snack breakfast of rusks and coffee or tea. Enjoying the cool morning air we may walk directly from camp or else use a vehicle to get further out. Your ranger will decipher the tracks and signs left by the passing animals during the night. The thrill of walking, tracking and getting up close to one of the creatures of the bush is an unforgettable experience.
The afternoon activity is a walk/ drive combination, looking for tracks and activity in other areas. After the walk we drive to a beautiful spot in the reserve, where we\'ll have sundowners while waiting for a stunning African sunset. As the diurnal animals and birds anxiously get ready for bed, the stage and sounds change and a whole new world awakens. This is when we connect the spotlight and night drive back to camp, looking for the nocturnal creatures that are so rarely seen during the day.
Back in camp a hearty supper and a warm campfire will be waiting for you. After a long day in the bush there is nothing more rewarding then to sneak off to bed and listen to the sounds of the night under a blanket of the overwhelming African stars!
On the last day you will still go out for one last walk. Sniffing the typical scents of the bush you\'ll realize how much you\'ve learned already! After breakfast it\'s time to pack up, we say our goodbyes and transfer you to Johannesburg.
Safari includes:
All Kruger accommodation, conservation and entrance fees for first four nights (23 to 27 November).
All private guiding and game drives in our private open-sided game viewing vehicle.
All dinners and breakfasts as per this itinerary.
All road transfers from Nelspruit – Kruger return.
All safari activities as per itinerary (two game drives a day including a night drive).
A fully inclusive 4-day walking itinerary in unfenced Greater Kruger reserve from 27 to 30 November including all meals, activities, private tents with beds, linen and mosquito nets (entrtance fees and drinks excluded).
Road transfer from Kruger to Joburg airport on 30 November.
