Guided Mobile Safari to Namibia This Tour Operator specialises in providing semi-luxury mobile safaris, conducted in specially prepared comfortable off-road game viewing vehicle and led by experienced guides. This safari has been prepared specifically with the accent on a safari that combines the adventure of a true African bush safari, access to big game, together with a degree of comfort not normally found under these circumstances. The safari will cover a number of distinct eco-systems within the Namibian bush environments, including the awe inspiring and fascinating remote areas of Damarland and Kaokoland. It is a mobile safari, which means that many nights, camp will be pitched and struck again the next morning. Your crew will take care of all this without intruding on your privacy. Care has been taken in choosing this itinerary to include the following well known, and some lesser known but nonetheless exciting bush and game areas. -Damaraland -Kaokoland -Etosha National Park commencing and ending in Windhoek, Namibia. Day by day activity Day 1. arr Windhoek, met by Tour Operator and head north, overnight at a lodge en route to Etosha Game Reserve. Days 2+3+4. On to Etosha where we camp for three nights incl Okakuejo and Fort Naumtoni with time to explore this world famous game reserve and spend time game viewing at the many waterholes. Day 5. Heading further west, overnight camp at the picturesque community camp site at Ruacana. Days 6+7 Continuing west through Kaokoland to Epupa Falls and the home of the Himba peoples. Camp for two nights as we explore this area. Days 8+9. Leaving Damarland head north to Otinungwe via the beautiful Marienfluss Valley. Camp on banks of Kunene River. Days 10+11. Turning south through Kaokoland, to overnight camp at Purros or go in search of the scarce desert adapted elephant. Day 12. Leaving Kaokoalnd via Ongongo and a dip in the hotsprings. Camp for the night at Khowarib Schlucht. Day 13. A magnificent and awe inspiring journey through the Huanib river bed and the remote valleys to Abu-Huab community camp site close to the Twyfelfontein complex, the Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. This is the Southern border for desert adapted elephant and rhino. Day 14. Travel through the awesome Namib landscape and Cape Cross to Swakopmund, the pretty ex German colonial town on the west coast.Overnight camp. Day 15. Return to Windhoek and overnight at a game lodge where a game drives in open vehicles ends the day. Day 16. The safari ends after breakfast. Transfer to Windhoek airport. Disclaimer Whereas the Tour operator has presented this itinerary in good faith, it is in the nature of a safari that for reasons beyond its control not all aspects of the itinerary may be available at the time the safari takes place. In this instance, the Tour Operator will at its discretion replace certain items, venues or routes with those of a similar or equal nature. A word about this safari. This is a semi-luxury safari whereby a crew will accompany you throughout, making and breaking camp, cooking and serving all meals,as well as doing all camp chores. Your role is to sit back, relax and enjoy. Note also that all sleeping equipment is provided incl duvets and sheets (not sleeping bags), towels etc. Price. The price for the above safari itinerary is Euro 3,250 per person for 15 days for a minimum of 2 people travelling together. . The price includes -transport as indicated above. -use of all camping equipment and sleeping gear. -exclusive service of guides and crew. -food and beverages with three meals per day -beer and wine served around the campfire and with evening meals. -lodge accommodation on a shared basis as shown on days 1 and 15 -all entry and camping fees to both National Parks and private concession areas. The price excludes -airfares and other costs to and from start and end points -bar bills, laundry and extras charged in hotel and lodges if used. -visas and other governmental requirements. -medical, health and loss insurance -any charges for extra activities not specifically mentioned in the itinerary -tips and gratuities NOTE: Due to the uncertainty of world oil prices and recent extreme increases, we may unfortunately have to impose a fuel levy in addition to the above price.
