Day 1 – Day 4: Kings Camp, Timbavati
King's Camp is situated in the Timbavati Game Reserve, which is part of the greater Kruger National Park. Within the Timbavati, Kings Camp traverses 14 000 hectares of wilderness which is host to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, white rhino, cheetah and a wide variety of antelope and other African animals. The diversity of fauna and flora and the bird watching opportunities are spectacular.
King's Camp is a twenty-two bedded lodge, furnished in the style of a bygone era. All rooms are en-suite, luxurious, comfortable, personal and intimate.
King's Camp, with its unique romantic ambience, offers guests the opportunity to experience the bush in true colonial style. Kings Camp is further dedicated to a gracious style of hospitality where the comfort and well being of each guest is paramount.
At meal times, true South African cuisine is offered in a homely atmosphere and complemented by an exceptional wine cellar.
Activities at the lodge include open vehicle and walking safaris, bush breakfasts and dinners, and plenty of relaxation around the swimming pool and in the comfortable facilities at the lodge.
Any particular requests such as guided walks or "sleep-outs" under the great African skies will be arranged with pleasure. Kings Camp is exceptionally proud of its "hides" where guests can safely soak up the stillness and serenity of the bush while keeping a sharp lookout for passing animals and birds.
