A night drive is offered returning at 20H00 for dinner

Day 2: - After breakfast we depart the Mfuwe sector and drive northwards. Our route takes us through the game rich Nsefu Sector of South Luangwa National Park. This journey is done slowly with frequent game viewing stops en route. Our arrival in the first of the community owned bushcamp [Mwanya] is mid afternoon with time to relax by the river whilst watching the magic of an African sunset.

Day 4: - Tea, coffee and a light snack follow an early morning wake up call. For those wishing, we aim to do a game walk in the company of an ex poacher turned conservationist – their sharp senses and deep understanding of wildlife will provide you with a most memorable game viewing experience. Our return to Camp is welcomed by a delicious meal prepared by the staff. The afternoon / night game drive enters the North Luangwa conservancy area, returning in time for evening dinner.

Day 5: - This morning after saying our goodbyes, we drive eastwards to Lundazi and cross into Malawi near Jenda. A picnic lunch is eaten en route and ETA in the city is late afternoon. A free drop off service is offered in Lilongwe

Luangwa Valley - 9050 sq km of pristine woodland and riverine vegetation plays host to over 40 mammal and 650 bird species. The South Luangwa has been described as the premier park in Africa foremost for the variety of species seen when visiting. A visit to Malawi and Zambia would be totally incomplete without experiencing the sheer magnitude and delight of this unique area.

Chifunda Bushcamp is set overlooking the Luangwa River lined by towering mahogany trees and surrounded by Mopane Forests. The camp is a community partnership with 65% ownership. All staff are from the area and the guides and trackers are reformed poachers. There are only 3 chalets ensuring total exclusivity and serenity. The area around the camp is totally wild – semi protected and game viewing is superb.
