Itinerary: This tour is designed to give a good ideal about how chocolate is produced. We will trace the footsteps of the finished product to its very roots by first driving to the Golden Tree Factory in near by Tema to see how Ghana’s cocoa is manufactured into chocolate. Then we will drive to the cocoa Research Institute in Tafo, have lunch and visit the institute’s cocoa plantation and research facilities. The experts there will show us everything and tell us all we want to know about Ghana’s most important crop. On the return journey to Accra in the late afternoon, we take the beautiful route through the Akwapim Ridge.
