Botswana Okavango Classic Semi-Luxury Boat Safari Enjoy a visit to Botswana\'s premier game park the Okavango Delta, unique combination of land and water. Enjoy boat trips and game walks on the islands deep in the Delta, combined with a unique and fascinating experience of bush camping in the Delta. This tour operator offers mobile semi-luxury safaris to those travellers looking for that little bit extra, be they experienced african hands or first timers. These safaris have been prepared specifically to combine the adventure of a true African bush safari, access to big game, camping amongst the game without artificial boundaries, together with a degree of comfort not normally found under these circumstances. In addition, all of our safaris are led by experienced guides and accompanied by full crew. This safari will last 3-4 days, commencing and returning to Maun, Botswana, the safari capital in the centre of Botswana, situated on the edge of the Okavango Delta and adjacent to nearby Moremi Game Reserve. Maun is the starting point for almost all Botswana safaris. Daily Itinerary arr Maun. met by tour operator. Overnight at a comfortable upmarket lodge outside of town in its own game grounds.(optional) Day 1 Leave Maun early by boat for Chiefs Island deep in the Okavango. A scenic and idyllic boat ride of 3-4 hours, through the swamps and narrow water ways. Lunch on arrival. Afternoon game walk. Overnight bush camp. Day 2 Early morning game walk. Afternoon boat ride exploring channels, lagoons, birdlife and game viewing. Expect to see crocs, hippo and elephant. Day 3 Early morning game walk on Chiefs Island. Game viewing Boat ride back to Maun intime for lunch. Boat safari ends. Optionally an additional night can be spent in the Delta with an itinerary similar to Day 2. Please note that this is a semi-luxury safari where a crew will accompany you to make and break camp, cook all meals and do all camp chores. Your role is to sit back and relax.
