Pilansberg Game Reseve, situated on the eroded remains of a volcanic crater said to be one of only three such sites in the world. The eruptions are thought to have taken place some 1,300 million years ago. The park provides a wide variety of eco-types, giving a beautiful home to more than 35 species of large mammals, especially the sought after Big 5. It has the major advantage of being within the malaria free belt. It is South Africa ‘s second largest National park.
