Day 1: Windhoek Arrival at Windhoek International Airport. Meet and greet by our representative. We proceed via mountain terrain to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Enjoy an afternoon township tour. The township tour gives visitors the opportunity to learn about the history, development and people of Katutura. The sprawling suburb on Windhoek’s northern outskirts some 10 km from the CBD was established in 1950s as a result of South Africa’s apartheid policy of divide and rule. Today Katutura is a crowded suburb where people from different cultures live together in peace and harmony. From iron shacks to up-market houses, it is diverse, lively and historical place to visit. The night will be completed with dinner with a local family. [A/D/B&B Day 2: Camp Kwando Take pleasure in an early scrumptious breakfast before you get transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Katima Mulilo. Pick-up vehicle at the depot in Katima Mulilo and start off with your journey westwards to Camp Kwando. The thatched bungalows are built on poles with a terrace overlooking the river and are the perfect place to do some fishing from the deck. While keeping an eye on the passing fauna of crocodiles and hippos, you can enjoy lunch or a cold drink in the dinning room. Take pleasure in an optional visit to a traditional village. The villagers will present you with various fishing and hunting techniques as well as their traditions on their every day life. During the visit, the medicine man will of the village will show you how different dances were used against various illnesses or to cure their problems. Flight/D/B&B Day 3: Mudumu National Park Your journey continues to Lianshulu Lodge, cradled between the enigmatic Okavango River to the west and the mighty Zambezi River to the east and nestles beneath a canopy of shady Jackalberry and Mangosteen trees, on the banks of the meandering Kwando River. Enjoy a optional sunset cruise on the Kwando river. D/B&B Day 4: Mudumu National Park Today enjoy optional activities ranging from nature drives in Mudumu National Park in an open 4x4 vehicle, guided morning walk in the park or a boat excursion on the Kwando River. D/B&B Day 5: Zambezi River This morning, depart Mahangu Safari Lodge and continue further east to a tranquil surrounding in the primeval wilderness of the north, the secluded Kalizo Lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure before taking pleasure in an optional late afternoon exhilarating quad bike ride, feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the world. D/B&B Day 6: This morning, enjoy an optional boat fishing trip on the Zambezi River, an area particularly renowned for Tiger and Bream fishing or experience the rich bird life where over 430 species of birds inhabit the flood plains and surrounding areas. D/B&B Day 7:Windhoek After a leisure breakfast, head back to Katima Mulilo. You will drop the vehicle at the depot and have ample time for lunch and last minute shopping before your flight back to the capital.
