Week 1: Wildlife Expedition in the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park
Explore the natural wonders of this unique biome incorporating a sub-tropical Indian Ocean marine reserve, endless sandy beaches, fragile dunes and sand-forests, coastal plains, Africa’s largest estuary, and game-filled savannah… it will soon become apparent why this is one of the World Heritage Sites proclaimed by UNESCO

Week 2: Cultural Zulu Week (Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow)
Discover the fascinating, yet turbulent history of the Zulu kingdom, before exploring more the challenges faced by the Zulu people now and into the future. During village visits you will learn basic Zulu language & customs, as well as having an opportunity to interact with underprivileged, yet eternally smiling schoolchildren

Week 3: Drakensburg Adventure Expedition
A week of hiking, climbing, abseiling, quad-biking and rafting in amongst the ‘Barrier of Spears’, the mighty Drakensberg Mountains, a huge range including all of southern Africa’s highest peaks

Week 4: Community Volunteer Week
Round off your adventure responsibly – giving back to the community that has played host to your once-in-a-lifetime expedition. Through assisting with educating & awareness on the killer disease ravaging the developing world, HIV-AIDS, and assisting at a local day-care centre for orphaned & abandoned children, you will be positively impacting these needy communities. You will also have the opportunity to assist with the building & refurbishment (painting, plumbing, gardens, sports-grounds, etc) of a local school, whilst interacting with the eternally optimistic young Zulu kids

Accommodation in general:
Week 1, 2 & 4 (St Lucia): You will be staying in our lovely double-story lodge close to town and all its amenities
Week 3: Accommodation will be in a comfortable middle-of-the-range lodge in the Drakensberg. You will be camping in twin tents on an adventurous three-day hike within this week.

Included in the price:
All accommodation in a comfortable lodge (shared rooms) & twin tents on camping trail
Support of dedicated guides & crew
Services of local guides on each leg of the expedition
All meals (three per day) and certain drinks (purified drinking water, cordials, coffee, tea)
