| 28-Day Kruger National Park Field Guide Course |
Learn about Africa and its wildlife while having a great outdoors adventure |
This South African adventure takes participants to join our field guide course in the Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa. Here you can experience first-hand what it is really like to be a Field Guide in South Africa, amid the amazing diversity of landscapes and wildlife that the reserve is home to. The field guide course will allow you to go on spectacular bush walks and game drives, and attend lectures on mammals, birds, trees and more, presented by experienced game rangers. You have the choice between joining the FGASA course or simply the 28-day course, the only difference being that in order to obtain a qualification the FGASA requires you to write exams and assessments. Highlights Living in an exciting wilderness camp in the Kruger National Park; going on walks and game drives to monitor the Kruger Park fence line; tracking animal movement; participating in wilderness activities on a daily basis; and working with all the highly experienced and qualified staff of the reserve sharing their true passion for wildlife. Waking up to the calls of the wild, watching the sun set on the mountains in the distance. Meeting wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world. Location Our base is a Wilderness Camp, situated in a true wilderness area in the Kruger National Park. This rustic camp offers comfort and spectacular views of the surrounding Kruger National Park. The camp is surrounded by large indigenous trees, valleys and a seasonal stream and offers a feeling of privacy. The entry point is Numbi Gate and the wilderness area stretches to the southern Malelane area. Minimum Participation age is 18 years old
