We appreciate that not everybody who comes to Africa is suited to a scheduled departure itinerary and introduced the option for you to charter a vehicle for you and your group and customise your own itinerary.
Too busy to research

We can offer customised chartered itineraries to any country in Southern or Eastern Africa for any length of time.
School Groups
Africa is the best destination in the world for learners why not bring a group of students to Africa on a school exchange? We can arrange for groups to visit a remote school and really live the life of an African and experience teaching the African way. Once again, you are totally in control of the level of exposure, or adventure, you wish to offer your learners.
Family Groups
Africa is the perfect destination for families, diverse in culture and an enriching experience for any child bought up in the first world! You have total control over the exposure you offer your family we can arrange an itinerary the offers quality family time, as well as adult time. Would you like to take your children to play football in the township or spend a few days helping to build a school. Anything is possible you just need one of our expert trip co-ordinators to point you in the right direction.
Special Interest Groups
With our combined wealth of knowledge and experience, we are more than qualified to handle any special interest that your group may require. Previously we have designed itineraries for bird enthusiasts, rock climbers, movie shoots, archaeologists, environmentalists and even a reality TV film crew! If we do not have the expertise, we have the ability to source it locally wouldnt you much prefer to be shown Africa by Africans?
We also work with universities, church groups, foreign students, Gap year students and traditionally anyone else that wants expert advice on travel to Africa. If you want specific experiences you need to be guided towards the best place to find them you dont want the lodge that happens to have an out of season special, or the hotel that offers the highest commission, or for that matter, the only game park
that your regular travel consultant has been selling for the last 10 years!
We also offer to accommodate your specific needs in relation to participation, you can really get into the Africa way and scour the local markets for your food and sleep under a mosquito net, or if that is not your thing, we can give you the African experience with a certain degree of creature comforts! We can tailor make an itinerary to suit both your expectations and your budget.
If you do chose a charter trip you are guaranteed of support from our network of offices and staff throughout Africa. We have offices in Cape Town, Swakopmund, Victoria Falls and Nairobi.
Our chartered safaris are only available for a minimum of 8 or more persons. The maximum our largest vehicle can accommodate is 28 persons.
Vehicle Used:
For large group we use Overland Trucks which are mainly Mercedes Benz MAN's and Ford Cargo's. These vehicles have been designed and built to give the greatest security and comfort to you, the passenger. Our vehicles are fully self sufficient with all cooking and camping equipment, cassette players, exterior and interior lighting, windows, lockers, long range fuel tanks as well as 300 to 400 litre water tanks. For smaller groups we use Minivans & Land Cruisers.
Overview
On most trips we have three crew members. They are the Trip Leader, the Driver and the Safari Cook. All our crew have a love of the countries they are travelling in, which is one of the most important requirements for your trip. Most of the crew have spent many years travelling through and have extensive knowledge of the countries you are travelling in. We feel that their enthusiasm as well as their experience will guarantee you have an unforgettable trip
If amping is your chosen option - your Safari Cook generally does the cooking, although even with this bonus we ask that you participate in the preparation on a rota basis. Meals and menus will vary to some extent as you travel through Africa. We endeavour to experience eating a varying array of the local dishes that you will find in the countries we are travelling through. We purchase food daily from the markets and road stalls along the way, which is ably supported by a bulk buy of goods prior to departure.
Accommodation
We will arrange any kind of accommodation you require, depending upon availability; lodge, bungalow, hostel, basic hotels, permanent tent type accommodation and basic camping where we provide large 2 person tents with sown in ground sheets and a separate fly sheet
The cost will depend upon how many are in your group, where you want to travel to and what activities you want included:
As a guideline Prices based on camping safaris would be in the region of:
10-15 persons: US$90 US$100 per person per day
15-20 persons US$85 US$95 per person per day
which would includes your transport, guide, camping and food, plus the driver/guide and a cook. Specific activities will be priced separately.
Prices do not include:
International flights, visas and items of a personal nature.
