You love wild birds and bird watching - We are happy you found us! This tour covers all the famous areas for bird watching in Ethiopia. With this, one is to reach and watch all the varieties.

Day 1: Arrive Addis Ababa.
On arrival in Addis Ababa you will be met by our representatives and transferred to Ghion Hotel. Overnight Ghion Hotel
Day 2: Drive to Awash.
After early breakfast drive from Addis to Awash National Park through the awe-inspiring crater lakes of Debrezeit and Cheleklaka for birding. En route further we stop at Nazareth for lunch. Our next stop will be at lake Beseka. Then we continue to Awash National Park. Overnight Awash Sebat kilo in the Genet hotel.
Day 3: Awash-Fental Creator Lake – Awash.
After having break fast you will drive to the Creator Lake to see Yellow – throated Serin, Sombre Chat & Gillett’s Lark as well as other birds. And in the afternoon you will drive to the other side of the Awash National park which means the Southern part of the Awash National Park to see different bird species for instance, Swallow-tailed Kite, Hartlaub’s Bustard, European Turtle Dove, Abyssinian Roller, Chestnut-headed Sparrow-Lark, Ethiopian Swallow, Menetries Warbler, Black-headed Batis, Fulvous Chatterer & Red-tailed & Great Grey shrike etc. Overnight Genet/ Meridian hotel.
Day 4: Awash to Bilen Lodge
After breakfast you will drive to Bilen Lodge, near to Bilen Lodge there is a hot spring to see different bird species and birding around the compound of Lodge to see the Arabian Bustard. Overnight Bilen Lodge.
Day 5: Bilen Lodge -Langano
After breakfast leave Bilen and drive to Langano through Ethiopian Great Rift valley Region. Stop at Lake Beseka for birding; Nazareth for lunch and continue driving to Langano with stopover at Lake Ziway, Abijata & Shalla Lakes National Park for more birding. Overnight Bekele Molla Hotel at Langano.
Day 6: Langano – Goba
We will spend most of our morning exploring our hotel gardens and drive to one of the famous Bale Mountains National park. At the park headquarters in Dinsho we will search the trails of the colorful Chestnut – napped Francolin, Groundscraper Thrush (of the distinctive, endemic race simensis). Day 7: Goba and excursion to Sof Omar.
Today’s activities require a descent of 1600 m in altitude to enjoy some dry warmth in the Sof Omar region and late afternoon drive back to Goba. Overnight Wabi Shebelle hotel
Day 8: Goba and excursion to the Bale Mountain National park.
Today will be a day of great contrast and amazing scenery and birding. We will depart early, and ascend the Bale Mountain massif on to the Sanetti Plateau, which lies between 3800 m and 4377 m above sea level and you will be able to see a lot of birds’ species. Overnight Wabi Shebelle hotel
Day 9: Goba to Awassa
Today we will take a slow drive across the high altitude grasslands between Goba and Dinsho, the Bale National Park Headquarters, where we will have further opportunities of finding the special Ethiopian endemics as well as uncommon birds. Late afternoon you will arrive at Awassa. Overnight Wabi Shebel hotel.
Day 10: Awassa-Yabello
After early breakfast more birding at Awassa and then continue driving to Yabello and birding all the way to Yabello. After check into Yabello motel for overnight, you will have more time to spot birds around the hotel.
Day 11: Yabello
Very early breakfast, then the whole day birding around Yabello. This day we will be doing on the way to Mega. Then after we will be back to our hotel. O/N Yabello Motel.
Day 12: Wendo Genet
After early breakfast drives to Wendo Genet. Check into the hotel and walk to the forest for birding. You will also have a chance to see more birds in the hotel ground. O/n Wabishebele hotel.
Day 13: Wendo Genet-Debre Birhan
After very early breakfast birding around the forests of Wendo Genet drive to Debre Birehan via Addis Ababa. Check into a hotel at Debre Birhan. After lunch, drive 40KM to Gemassa Gedel to find the endemic Ankober Serin. O/N Hotel in Debre Birhan.
Day 14: Debre Birhan- Jemma Valley-Debre Birhan
Excursion to Jemma valley. O/N Hotel in Debre Birhan
Day 15: Debre Birhan- Addis Ababa, Departure
Early morning drive to Addis to Sululta plain and visit the endemic Abyssinian long claw. Drive back to Addis and enjoy evening farewell dinner party before departure.
