I T I N E R A R Y
Day 1: Arrive at Bole international Airport (Addis Ababa) and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 2: Fly to BahirDar. In the afternoon visit the ancient island monasteries on Lake Tana. Overnight Hotel.
Day 3: Early Morning visit the majestic Blue Nile falls. After noon city tour of BahirDar. Overnight Hotel.
Day 4: Fly to Gondar visit the 17th & 18th century castles, Bath of Fasiledes, Qusquam Monastery and the icon rich church of Debre Berehan Silassie. Overnight Hotel.
Day 5: Fly to Lalibela and visit the magnificent first group of rock churches. Overnight Hotel.
Day 6: Morning excursion trip outside of Lalibela to visit the cave church of Neakuto Le’ab and afternoon visit the remaining 2nd & 3rd groups of rock-churches of Lalibela. O/n Hotel.
Day 7: Fly to Axum and visit St. Mary of Zion church, remarkable Stelaes, tombs, Museum, and Queen of Sheba palace. Overnight Hotel.
Day 8: Fly back to Addis and Overnight hotel.
Day 9: Drive to Hosanna visiting the rock-hewn church of Adadi Mariam and to unique Stelaes of Tiya en route. Overnight Hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Sodo and visiting the Wolayta village and continue driving through Ethiopian Rift Valley Region and drive up hill to Chencha to visit the Dorze tribal Village with the people’s life style and their beehive shaped huts. Proceed to Arbaminch. O/n hotel.
Day 11: After break fast drive to Nechisar National park to see mammals and various species of birds. In the after noon drive to Lake Chamo to observe the crocodile market, and various species of water birds including hippos. Overnight Hotel.
Day 12: Drive to Jinka, visit the Konso & Tsemay tribes en route. Overnight Jinka Hotel.
Day 13: Drive along the Mago River, visit the Mursi people they are renowned for the strange custom followed by their women who, on reaching maturity, have their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted. Picnic lunch and drive back to Mago National park for game viewing and drive back to Jinka. Overnight hotel.
Day 14: Drive to Turmi through Dimeka to visit the Hamar tribal group. O/n Camping.
Day 15: Drive to Murule to visit the Karo tribe they are known for their body painting. Overnight Camping.
Day 16: Drive to Omorate to visit the Dasenetch tribal group. Back to Turmi for the Market (if the day will be Monday, Tuesday or Saturday) to encounter different tribal groups. O/n camping.
Day17: Drive to Yabello visiting the Arbore & Borena tribal villages. O/n hotel.
Day 18: Drive to Wondo Genet where you enjoy swimming in a pool of Natural hot water and visit the Sidama tribal group en route. Overnight Hotel
Day 19: Drive back to Addis. Visit Abijata-Shalla Lakes National park and Lake Ziway for birding. O/n hotel in Addis.
Day 20: Fly to Dire Dawa. Up on arrival drive to Harar. Visit the 16th century wall, Museums, colourful market and the Hyena man at night. Overnight hotel.
Day 21: Transfer to Dire Dawa airport and fly back to Addis. O/n hotel.
Day 22: Sight seeing tour of Addis, farewell dinner party and departure back to home.
Price= USD 3595 per person plus USD 801 for domestic airfare, which is subject to change.
