FIXED DEPARTURE : January 10th 2007
Day 1: January 10, 2007: Arrive at Bale International Airport (Addis Ababa) where you will be met by Dinknour representative and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Jan. 11, 2007: After breakfast drive to Debre Markos visiting the 13th century Debre Libanos Monastery and the Blue Nile Gorge. O/N hotel.
Day 3: Jan. 12, 2007: Drive and visit the Amhara tribal village and proceed to BaharDar. After check into the hotel enjoy a boat ride on Lake Tana to visit the famous island monasteries. O/n hotel.
Day 4: Jan. 13, 2007: After breakfast, drive to Blue Nile Fall and visit the majestic falls. Continue driving to Gondar for overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Jan. 14, 2007: Sight seeing tour of Gondar visit the 17th & 18th century castles, Bath of Fasilades, the monastery of Qusquam and the icon-rich church of Debre Berhan Silassie. O/n hotel.
Day 6: Jan. 15, 2007: After breakfast, drive to Axum through the beautiful landscape and Tekeze River Gorge. O/n hotel.
Day 7: Jan. 16, 2007: Sight seeing tour of Axum that includes: St. Mary church where the original Arc of the covenant is still housed in, Archeological museum, the Steles Park, tombs, and palaces. O/n Hotel.
Day 8: Jan. 17, 2007: After breakfast drive Mekele via the rock churches of Tigray. O/n hotel.
Day 9: Jan. 18, 2007: After breakfast drive to Lalibela- its famous for its 11 monolithic rock hewn churches built by king Lalibela in the late 12th and early 13th century A.D. O/N hotel.
Day 10: Jan. 19, 2007: Wittiness the wonderful Timket (Ethiopian epiphany) celebration in Lalibela. Also, visit the first, second and third groups of rock churches. O/n hotel.
Day 11: Jan. 20, 2007: After breakfast drive to Dessie visiting Hayk Istifanos monastery en route. O/n hotel.
Day 12: Jan. 21, 2007: After breakfast drive back to Addis. O/n hotel.
Day 13: Jan. 22, 2007: Sightseeing tour of Addis, farewell dinner party and Departure.
