This program takes you Lake Manyara and then to the Serengeti National Park and ending with Ngorongoro Crater.You will not only be able to see varied wildlife but also different flora and fauna.
Day 01 After lunch depart for Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Camp/Migunga Forest Camp. This camp takes swahili word from the Acacia Seyal, a tree that dominates the area and is rather like the Fever tree in appearance with its yellow bark. It is situated in a quiet section of the village of Migungani 3kms from L.Manyara’s Park boundary.
Day 02 After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara supports a groundwater forest fed from the rainfall above the escarpment. It contains a number of habitats despite its small size (330sq km). It supports a large number of bird mammal species including many migratory species. After lunch depart for Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight Ikoma Camp.
Day 03 We enjoy the full day in the Serengeti, usually with an early and late game drive with the hotter afternoon hours being spent relaxing at the Camp.
Day 04 After the morning game drive we make our way back to Ngorongoro, stopping to visit the small museum at Olduvai Gorge, the home of some of man’s earliest ancestors. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge/similar.
Day 05 Today we descend into the Crater to view the wildlife close up in one of the most spectacular natural renas in the world! The crater floor is some 200sq kilometres in area and is surrounded by the 600-meter crater walls. Only a few animals migrate in and out of this natural haven, and giraffe are noted only for their absence, as the descent is too steep for these long legged creatures. We return to the Lodge this afternoon and again overnight here.
Day 06 Today we say good-bye to the parks and make our way back to Arusha from where we join the regular afternoon shuttle bus back to Nairobi.
