DAY 1
Depart from Johannesburg early and head towards the Kruger Park. Upon arrival we check in at Phumulani Lodge. We have time to explore the lodge and enjoy lunch before we embark on our first afternoon game drive. We arrive back at the lodge before dark when dinner is served, and we enjoy the magical sounds of the African night before retiring to our bungalows.
DAY 2
We start at dawn and on this day and do three game drives in the Kruger Park. We stop several times during the day to freshen up and have breakfast and lunch in rest camps along the way. We also visit Skukuza the main camp of the Park. We return to our Lodge before dark and have time to relax before we enjoy dinner at the Lodge.
DAY 3
We again set out at dawn and do a thorough morning drive before we have breakfast. We depart thereafter on our scenic drive as we explore the Panorama Route. We visit Graskop, God’s Window and a magnificent waterfall before we reach our overnight stop at Pilgrim’s Rest. We check in at the fabulous old Royal Hotel and have time to catch a glimpse of the town before dinner is served.
DAY 4
After a leisurely start we have breakfast and set out to explore this former gold mining town, with it’s many old world attractions. There is the museum and the old graveyard, and don’t forget to ask about “Jock of the Bushveld”. After lunch we depart for Johannesburg via a short stop at Dullstroom, a small town renowned for its fly-fishing. We arrive in Johannesburg in the late afternoon.
