Day 1: Pick up from Hotel or airport and transfer by road to Mufindi Highlands, overnight at Lodge, full board. Day 2: Horse riding, fishing walking, bird watching, fly-fishing, mountain biking, swimming, 'culture tours' around the village (a visit to a witch doctor) are some of the optionals activities for this day, overnight at Lodge, full board Mufindi is set at approximately 6000ft and has a mosquito free, cool climate. Located within the African Rift Valley among the highland tea estates, Mufindi is around 5 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. The lakes are stocked with rainbow trout so the fly-fishing is excellent. Day 3: Ruaha is approximately 5hrs drive from Mufindi. This is one of the most scenic routes in southern circuit, villages, hills, mountain; local agricultural projects on the great Ruaha River are some of the attractions on this route. Overnight at Lodge, full board Day 4: Accompanied by an armed ranger, we start the day with a morning walking safari followed by afternoon game drive in the park. Overnight at Lodge, full board RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Tanzania's second biggest park and host to a number of animals which rare or absent in the North. The rare animals include the African Wild dog, roan and sable antelope and the greater kudu. The Great Ruaha River, which provides life to the park, flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds. Day 5: Mikumi N.P. is Tanzania's third largest National Park and covers an area of 3230 sq km. One of the principal features of Mikumi is the Mkata River flood plain, an area of lush vegetation, which particularly attracts elephants and buffaloes. The park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Open grasslands dominate in the flood plain, eventually merging with the miombo woodlands covering the lower hills. Mikumi National Park is home to buffalo, giraffe, elephant, lion, zebra, and leopard and is famous for its wild dogs and 6m long pythons. Day 6: Full day game drive and overnight at Lodge, full board Day 7: Early Morning game drive, return to lodger for lunch and thereafter drive back to Dar es salaam for your flight back home or connection to Zanzibar Price is inclusive of: service of a driver/guide 4WD vehicle while in the park, all park entry fees, accommodation at the lodge as mentioned above, visit to a witch doctor, all ground transfers, game drive as mentioned above, walking safari, Prices exclusive of: drinks, personal and travel-insurance, any other activity / excursion not mentioned above, accommodation in Dar es Salaam prior and after the safari, any local/international flights.
