I T I N E R A R Y
Day 1:
Pick up from the Hotel and we head down to Selous Game Reserve. Arrival at the camp will be in time for late lunch. Later afternoon/evening game drive and overnight at Mobile Camp.
Day 2:
Start the day with a walking safari accompanied by an armed game ranger. This will take you through a wide part of the game reserve. Breathe in the intoxicating smell of the African bush: a mixture of the African soil and the smell of the wild animals. You will not only try to identify the different animal spoor but your guide will share with you his knowledge of the different flora in the reserve. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board
Day 3:
Morning boat safari and return to camp for lunch. Late afternoon game drive and overnight at Mobile, full board.
Day 4:
Morning walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. Meet your guide at pick up point and continue for a game drive. Return to camp and relax. Late afternoon/evening game drive. Overnight at Mobile Camp.
Accommodation is in large walk- in tents with wooden twin beds( double bed available on request), floor mats, towels, lights( kerosene), en suite bathrooms (open-air hot water showers and long drop toilets). Towels and toilet paper are in the camp. Water is provided during meals and game drives 1 x 1.5 per person).
Day 5:
Mikumi N.P. is Tanzania's third largest National Park and covers an area of 3230 sq km. One of the principal features of Mikumi is the Mkata River flood plain, an area of lush vegetation, which particularly attracts elephants and buffaloes. The park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Overnight at Tented Camp, full board.
Day 6:
Full day game drive in the Park with full board accommodation at Tented Camp.
Day 7:
Ruaha is approximately 5hrs drive from Mikumi. This is one of the most scenic routes in southern circuit, villages, hills, mountain, local agricultural projects on the great Ruaha River are some of the attractions on en-route. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board
Day 8:
After breakfast, walking safari will start and you will be accompanied by an armed ranger who will share with you the knowledge of flora and fauna that he has. After lunch, at your own leisure at the campsite. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board
Day 9:
Morning and afternoon game drive in the park. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board
Day 10:
Accompanied by an armed ranger, depart for the morning walking safari and later on proceed with full day game drive and overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 11:
After breakfast, we depart to Udzungwa Mountain National Park, depend on the time of your arrival, you will go for the hiking of the Lohombero Mountain. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board
Day 12:
Full day walking activities at Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Overnight at Msafiri Adventure Camp, full board . Udzungwa Mountains National Park covers an area 1,900 sq km and is the newest National Park in Tanzania opened to the public only 1992. The main activities is hiking
Day 13:
Drive back to Dar es Salaam to connect with your flight to Zanzibar or back home.
