I T I N E R A R Y
Day 01: Nairobi-Masai Mara
Arrive NBI airport meet & greet then transfer to city Hotel. Driver can be arranged to be with them at their leisure for Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre during the afternoon, Carnivore dinner experience in the evening.
Day 02: Nairobi-Masai Mara
Depart early morning to Mara by air. Arrive for a game drive in this ‘big game country’ famed worldwide for its high animal concentration, abundance and variety. Check into the Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. (Masai Village option can be arranged with driver at $20).
Day 03: Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru
Early morning departure for Lake Nakuru about 6 hours but can be longer depending on how many stops they want to make. Lunch en-route. Proceed on a game drive in Nakuru Park, which has prolific bird life including flamingos, white pelicans and the marabou stork among others. Waterbuck and Cape buffalo can be seen near the shoreline. Rothschild’s giraffe and the white rhino are additional attractions among other species of plains game and cats like lion. With luck you may spot leopard, which is rather elusive. Spend the night at the Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.
Day 04: Lake Nakuru-Nairobi-Lamu
After breakfast at the Lodge, depart for Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. Transfer to Wilson Airport for the afternoon flight to Lamu – duration 2hrs. You will be met at Manda Airstrip for your transfer to Lamu Hotel where you are booked for 3 nights or similar.
Day 05:
At leisure in Lamu.
Day 06:
At leisure in Lamu.
Day 07 :
Lamu-Nairobi
Transfer to airport for am/pm flight back to Nairobi where you will make the connection to your international airliner. Taxi to the airport will be arranged too.
Note:
All safaris reserved are on an all inclusive basis. That is breakfast, lunch & dinner with soft drink during meals i.e. fruit juices in Masai Mara, Nakuru & Lamu. All alcoholic beverages & extras are at their own cost. All meals eaten at hotels are buffet so that there is a large selection of food.
In Nairobi, accommodation will be on a bed & breakfast basis. This means that lunch & dinner at own cost on arrival. Only the breakfast of the following morning is taken into consideration in the hotel booking reservations are only for 1 night.
Luggage Allowance to Masai Mara:
15kg – arrangements can be made to keep any extra kilos at the travel agencies storage room.
Luggage Allowance to Lamu:
At least 23 kgs
