I T I N E R A R Y
Day 01
Departing our office in the morning, we drive down to the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive for lunch at Sarova Mara Camp. Afternoon game drive in this reserve, an extension of the famous Serengeti of the "Out Africa" films fame. Later return for a sumptuous dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara camp or similar.
Day 02
A full day of morning and afternoon game drives to explore the diverse Wildlife Game found in this reserve-And if you are lucky you will see all the Big Five. Meals and overnight at Sarova Camp or similar.
Day 03
A pre dawn game drive then breakfast. Later depart and drive across the plains and down into the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Country Club or similar. Afternoon will be a bird lover's paradise as you take nature walk around the large compound accompanied by a resident naturalist. Opportunities are open for a boat ride (at an extra cost) to the Crescent Island where you can stroll among zebras, wildebeest and the common antelopes with total harmony. Later, dinner and overnight at The Lake Naivasha Country Club.
Day 04
Today drive to the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park whose alkaline waters quiver with a flaming headdress of thousands upon thousands of pink flamingoes. The surrounding jungle provides excellent cover for the sleek cheetah, and it is a common sight to see lions and leopards hanging from the trees, lazily dangling themselves over the deep thicket of bush. Hippos call the home and their antics are on the view as they bathe and feed right before your eyes. Black rhino sharing their space with legions of monkeys. Lunch will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lionhill Lodge.
Afternoon proceed to the farmland areas of Kericho view extensions and massive tea plantations on your way to Kericho Tea Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 05
You start early today as your drive will take you across into Tanzania. After customs and immigration formalities at Nyakibaya border proceed to Peninsula Hotel in Musoma to arrive in the early afternoon. The day will be spent relaxing in preparation for your tomorrow's adventure safari. Overnight at Peninsula Hotel.
Day 06
After breakfast depart driving through the rugged plains of northern Serengeti as you approach the park from the wildebeest migration area to arrive at Seronera for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a game drive to explore the vast Serengeti in depth. Everywhere there are monkeys, yes birds, always but look closely and you will thrill to see the huge jungle cats, lion, leopard and cheetah, nature, great predators, lying on a tree just watching the world go by! Rhino, gazelle, antelope, massive elephants by the thousands. Later return for dinner and overnight at The Seronera Lodge or similar.
Day 07
A full day of morning and afternoon game viewing drives as you drive deeper into the game concentration areas. All meals and overnight at Seronera Lodge/Ikoma Camp.
Day 08
After a delicious breakfast we set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Along the way we will stop to visit Olduvai Gorge, where for more than their 50 years, the Leakey family has been uncovering fossils of our human ancestors and of animal life-this site is considered to be the cradle of mankind. Soon after we drive on and arrive at the magnificent Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge/Kifaru Lodge, set at the rim of the Crater for a sumptuous dinner and a solid evening after a most remarkable day on safari.
Day 09
Breakfast, then descend into the Crater in our 4WD vehicles. This magnificent natural amphitheater contains the largest concentration of animals in all of the world- it is one of natural wonders of the world-the 100 square miles Crater is a perfect caldera, one of the largest on earth and a home for thousands and multitudes of wildebeest. Uniquely beautiful, you will never see her likes again. Later we return to our Lodge/Kifaru Lodge-relax or enjoy deserved nap before you retire later for dinner and overnight.
Day 10
Leisurely breakfast then depart driving through the thick forest vegetation and on the hour will find forested, marsh and scrubland Park, home to over 350 species of birds and tree climbing lions. The lake is also home to thousands of pink flamingo. Later return for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or similar.
Day 11
Morning depart and drive to Arusha in time for lunch. Afternoon transfer to Airstrip for the flight to Zanzibar where you will be met and transfered to your hotel Tembo/Dhow Palace in stone town on Bed and Breakfast basis.
Day 12
This day is left alone for your own exploration of the town and a visit to the maze of the Stone Town which is highly recommended
Bed and Breakfast at Tembo Hotel/Dhow palace.
Day 13
This day we take a tour of the spice island-Spice tour and afternoon at Leisure
BB at Tembo/Dhow Palace.
Day 14
After breakfast we transfer you to a beach resort for the next two days which are at your leisure
Overnight in Ras Nungwi/Breezes or similar hotels
Day 15
Day at Leisure at Beach Hotel
Day 16
On this day we transfer you to the Airport for your flight to Nairobi/Dar es salaam to connect your flight home
