This popular small group (max 10) Camping and Lodge Safari runs through four African countries: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, with all the wildlife and scenic beauty imaginable. |
The Upgraded African Safari itineraries allow you to join a camping safari but with an option to spend some of the nights in lodges or chalets. The upgraded safaris provide all the adventure and experience of the original camping safaris, with a number of accommodation upgrades. For those who feel that a sheltered and restful night's sleep is worthwhile luxury that will enhance their safari, this is the finer option. On the "Cape Town to Victoria Falls Upgraded Safari" a total of 10 nights is spent in lodges/chalets and 9 nights camping. The trip remains a semi-participation camping trip and all meals are enjoyed with the group around the campfire. At bedtime however, those fortunate guests on the upgraded tour are able to retire to the comfort of a private room in the nearby lodge or chalet. From here, 4x4 vehicles and motorboats transfer us to the Camp (1½ hours) where we spend the night. The next 2 days are spent exploring the network of water pathways through thick vegetation in mokoros (traditional dugout canoes) and speedboat. The Delta is a well-preserved gem of Africa with a vast oasis of crystal clear lake lets, lagoons and palm-fringed islands. On our last evening in the Delta we feast with a braai (barbeque).
