| Luxury 6-day Kruger Park Safari |
Experience the wildlife, culture and rythm of Africa on this luxury guided safari. Stay at a luxury safari hotel overlooking the Kruger Park. |
Enjoy the wildlife and rythm of Africa in complete luxury! This guided safari brings you to a fantastic safari resort on the banks of the Sabie River overlooking the Kruger National Park. We spend 5 nights at this luxurious lodge where you can relax around the sparkling pool or sip a sundowner on the deck overlooking the Sabie River. Using the resort as our base, we explore the Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle, as well as the scenic Panorama route with its beautiful views and waterfalls. A cultural visit to an African tribal village is also included. This is an exclusive safari with only your group on board (no other guests joining us). The departure dates and itinerary are therefore flexible and can be customised to suit your requirements. ITINERARY: Day 1: Meet at hotel or airport in Johannesburg and take the scenic route to Mpumalanga - the place where the sun rises. Arrive late afternoon at your safari lodge overlooking the Kruger National Park. Day 2: Embark on an exciting game drive in an open safari vehicle in the Kruger National Park with a highly experienced guide who not only knows where and how to spot the animals, but can interpret their behaviour and relay fascinating facts and stories about the environment. Enjoy a scrumptious bush breakfast at a picnic site in the game reserve. We stop regularly at safe alighting points for refreshments or just to stretch your legs and appreciate the silence and tranquility of the African bush. Day 3: Day tour of the spectacular Panorama Route along the scenic Mpumalanga escarpment, visiting God's Window and other breathtaking view points, waterfalls, Bourke's Luck potholes, the Blyde River Canyon (largest green canyon in the world) and more. Day 4: A day at leisure, with your choice of optional activities. These may include another morning and/or afternoon game drive in the Kruger Park, a visit to the mall and casino in Nelspruit, or simply lazing around the pool with a good book. Other optional activities not included in the tour price are an early morning hot air balloon flight, visit to Sudwala Caves, a morning bush walk in the Kruger Park with an armed ranger, or an evening game drive on an open safari vehicle with powerful search lights, looking for those elusive nocturnal predators like lion, leopard and hyena. Day 5: After breakfast we make our way to a traditional Shangaan tribal village, where you can experience the music, drumming and dancing of Africa. Immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of a traditional African village. In the afternoon, we enjoy a final game drive in the Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle, in search of any wildlife that may have eluded us thus far. Day 6: After a delicious breakfast we embark on our journey back to Johannesburg, in time to connect you to your flight home or next destination. Included: Luxury 4-star accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, limited refreshments, guided day tours and activities as mentioned, all entrance fees, transfers from and to Johannesburg. All tours and transfers are conducted in a luxury, air-conditioned microbus with a registered and experienced guide. Game drives are conducted on an open safari vehicle. Excluded: International Flights, drinks, lunches, personal expenses, tips, optional extra activities. 2009 COST: $1450 USD per person sharing (subject to exchange rate fluctuations).
