4 DAYS - TREE HOTEL / SAMBURU / MOUNT KENYA SAFARI CLUB
I T I N E R A R Y
Day 01
Drive through ranchland before reaching the foothills of Mt. Kenya where much coffee is grown. Arrive at your base hotel in time for lunch. Afterwards drive through the forest to reach your hotel where the night is spent watching the never ending pageant of wildlife which visits the floodlit waterhole and saltlick below. Dinner and overnight at a Tree hotel.
Day 02
After breakfast continue northwards, skirting the massif of Mount Kenya, to reach Samburu National Reserve for lunch. In the afternoon a game drive affords the opportunity to see certain northern species of game not seen south of the equator. These include the replendent reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s, zebra and the Somalil ostrich. Overnight at a lodge or camp in the Reserve.
Day 03
A morning game drive in this wild but splendid reserve. Continue to the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club whose immaculately manicured gardens nestle on the forested slopes of the mountain. The afternoon is free to enjoy the numerous optional facilities of the Club which include horseback riding, tennis, golf, bowls, swimming or just luxuriating in the comfort and beauty of your surroundings. Overnight at the club.
Day 04
After another restful morning return to Nairobi via Nyeri where lunch is taken at Outspan Hotel. Lord Baden – Powell, the founder of the Boy Scout movement spent the last years of his life at the Outspan and is buried in Nyeri cementry. Reach Nariobi in the early evening.
