Semi-Participation Mobile Safari to Botswana
Day to Day Itinerary
Days 1+2.
arr Maun. Met by tour operator, drive in special bush vehicles to Nxai Pan National Park, bush camp for two nights near famous Baines Baobabs, overlooking Kudiakam Pan. Day trip into National Park, the only Park in southern Africa where impala and springbok may be seen together. Also anticipate leopard and cheetah sightings here.
Day 3.
Take a short drive through Makgadikgadi National Park, to camp on the Boteti river, usually bustling with game.
Days 4+5.
Visit Central Kalahari Game Reserve for two nights. **
Day 6.
Drive via Maun to overnight at an organised camp site on the edge of town, relax and refresh in the swimming pool and bar.
Day 7.
Day trip into nearby Okavango Swamps, with bush walks and makoro rides on edge of the Delta. Overnight camp at a village community campsite, adjacent to Moremi National Park.
Days 8+9.
Enter Moremi and camp for two nights in what many people consider Botswana's premier game reserve. Take morning and evening game drives in tour operators vehicles.
Day 10.
Bush camp along the Kwai river, always abundant with game.
Days 11+ 12.
Head north along Savute channel to camp at Savute camp site for two nights. Look for famous Savute lion prides resident in the area. This is one of the few places in Africa where lion have learnt to hunt fully grown elephants.
Days 13+14.
Drive north through Chobe National Park to camp for two nights overlooking the Chobe river. Watch some of Africa’s largest elephant herds bathing and drinking.
Day 15.
After an early morning game drive along the cHobe River, head for Kasane where our safari ends.
**Optionally include a visit to nearby Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia replacing the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
This safari which runs Maun to Kasane can also be run in the opposite direction, ie Kasane to Maun to suit flight schedules or individual travel plans.

A word about this safari.
This safari is run on a semi-participation basis, where a driver/guide will accompany you, who will also do the cooking and serve meals.
It is expected that clients will erect and take down their own tents and generally lend a hand with camp chores etc.
Cost.
The price of the above 14 night itinerary is Euro 2,390 per person from 1 May 2008 for a minimum of four people travelling together.
The price includes
-transport as indicated above, in special bush vehicles.
-use of camping equipment, tents etc.
-food and beverages including three meals per day
-camping and entry fees to National Parks.

Due to the uncertainty of world oil prices and recent extreme increases, we may unfortunately have to impose a fuel levy in addition to the above price. Any such levies will be calculated and advised to clients at the time of each enquiry.
