SPECIAL There are just four places left on this special Botswana and Namibia Semi-participation safari. Starting on Wednesday 22 October in Kasane, Botswana, via Chobe National Park, Savute, Moremi and on via western arm of Okavango pan Handle to Namibia. Then on to Etosha Game Reserve to end in Windhoek, Namibia on Wed 5 November. See below itinerary or enquire. Price as advertised. Day by Day Itinerary Day 1 arr Maun. Collected by Tour Operator and after an afternoon game drive proceed to a community camp site on border of Moremi Game Reserve. You will already be in bush and game country. Days 2+3+4 Enter Moremi Game Reserve and camp for three nights. Game viewing drives morning and evening. Moremi is thought by many to be Botswana's finest game viewing Park. Optional boat and makoro rides into the Okavango are available. Day 5 Proceed along and through the Kwai river, to bush camp on the river banks. Days 6+7 Camp at Savute, famous for its large lion prides. Explore the Savute area looking for the famous resident lion prides. Day 8 Continue through Chobe National Park, home of some of the biggest herds of elephant in southern Africa, to camp on the banks of the Chobe River to watch the elephant herds as well as hippo drinking and bathing. Days 9+10 Crossing into Namibia, proceed through Caprivi Strip to Mudumu National Park, overnight camp on the banks of the Linyanti river. Days 11+12+13 Visit world famous Etosha Pan Game Reserve for three nights. Staying at Okakuejo and Fort Namutoni, with time to visit the many water holes that Etosha is famous for. Day 14 Continue to Windhoek. Overnight camp near the city. Day 15 Safari ends. Transfer to Windhoek airport. Disclaimer Whereas the tour operator presents this itinerary in good faith, it is in the nature of a safari that for reasons beyond its control, not all aspects of a itinerary may be available at the time the safari takes place. In this instance, the tour opertaor will at its discretion replace certain items, venues or routes with those of a similar or equal nature. A word about this safari. This safari is run on a semi-participation basis, whereby a driver guide will accompany you, who will also do the cooking and serve meals. It is expected that clients will erect and take down their own tents and generally lend a hand with camp chores etc. Cost. The price of the above 14 night safari is Euro 2,100 per person for a minimum of four people travelling together from 1 May 2008. The price includes -transport as indicated above, in special bush vehicles. -use of camping equipment, tents etc. -food and beverages with three meals per day. -camping and entry fees to National Parks. -game drives in tour operator vehicles. The price excludes -airfares and transportation to and from start and end points -visas and other governmental levies -medical, health and loss insurances -sleeping bags, linen and towels -extra and optional activities not specifically included -alcohol and other drinks -gratuities and tips NOTE: Due to the uncertainty of world oil prices and recent extreme increases, we may unfortunately have to impose a fuel levy in addition to the above price.
