I T I N E R A R Y

Day 1
We meet you at Hosea Kutako International airport just outside Windhoek. We do a tour of the city of Windhoek and have something to eat. By 15:00h we hit the "Great North Road" into Africa. Near the town of Otjiwarongo we make our camp for your very first experience of a campfire in the African bushveld. 350 km

Day 2
We have a leisurely breakfast and on with our "trek" into unknown. We have short stop at Hoba, they biggest intact meteorite on earth and then fill-up at Grootfontein. Then we leave "civilization" as we hit the dirt road running directly east towards the Botswana border. By mid-afternoon we are in the San settlement of Mangetti where we make our camp. The rest of the afternoon you will be introduced to these amazing people - the last of the great hunters on the planet! 450 km

Day 3
We are up early to get everything ready for today we leave the last vestibules of development to enter the Kaudom National Park. We slowly make our way northwards on 4x4 tracks to make our camp in Sigaretti Camp. We are in an unprotected campsite and we need to be there not later than 16:00h in order to gather enough firewood for a proper campfire - we might have visitors! The rest of the afternoon we spend at one of the many water points to do some game viewing. Total of 200 km

Day 4
Up early to eat and get ready for some real action. We slowly make our way trough the Kaudom National Park and by lunch time, we should be near Kaudom Camp. Here we have a picnic. Then we hit the sandy track all the way to close to the Angolan border. Now we turn Eastwards on a good tarred road to be in Ngepi Campsite by 17:00h. 260 km may sound like nothing - believe me, this is real Africa but you are in the safe hands of the experts.

Day 5
Our rest-day we spend right here at Ngepi. Perhaps it is better to say - a peaceful day for shortly after breakfast we do some game viewing in the nearby Muhango Game Park. Usually we pack a picnic and spend the entire day in this magnificent Park with some of the most exquisite animals in Africa like sable antelope, roan antelope and buffaloes. 100 km

Day 6
Your short introduction to the north-east of Namibia is running short. You might just have enough time for a mokoro trip on the Okavango. By 12:00 we are on the road again driving to the town of Rundu. We spend some time along the road to visit any of the many informal stalls selling all sorts of hand-made artefacts. By 17:00h we book into our campsite to have a swim and a quite evening around the campfire. 460 km

Day 7:
A leisurely breakfast and we are on our way again. We should be in Windhoek no later than 13:00h in time for you to catch you flight back home. We trust by now your rooftop tent has become you new home and that you will be back for more of the real life! 510 km

2: The vehicles used are luxury SUV's with air-conditioning and CD players.
3: The clients need only to bring clothes and personal medicine and toiletries.
4: Extra for the clients are bottled water, snacks or sweets, own shopping and the activities other than included in this itinerary.
5: This same route can be done at a slower pace where you, our guest can determine if you would like to stay longer in a specific area. Naturally this will increase the total price but not with much seeing the fact that all travelling costs has been covered already.

This is an economy type safari and it is expected of the guests to help with the pitching of the tents, the making of beds and some cooking and cleaning. We use I tour guide to 3 guests. Prices are in South African Rand but can be paid in any accepted currency, according to the existing exchange rate.
