2009 SPECIAL OFFER Until 31 December 2009 the following discounts are offered for this safari 4 or more booking together - 20% 3 or more booking together - 15% 2 or more booking together - 10% ================================= Care has been taken in choosing this itinerary to include the following well known, and some lesser known but nonetheless exciting bush and game areas. -Kasanka National Park. -South Luangwa National Park -North Luangwa National Park -Lake Bengwelu. -Luambe National Park -Kapishya Hot Springs. This safari will last 14 days, starting and ending in Lusaka capital of Zambia. Day by day route and itinerary. Day 1. arr Lusaka. Met by Tour Operator. Overnight at a private camping lodge in en-suite chalets, just outside the city, or hit the road immediately, depending on arrival time, to overnight camp on the Great East Road near the Luangwa River Bridge. Day 2. Further drive east on the Great East Road to Chipata, to overnight camp at a local festive and well run camp site. Day 3+4. Camp for two nights at a tented camp site (with en-suite facilities), over looking the Luangwa River. A morning and evening game drive nto South Luangwa National Park, often referred to as the Jewel of Zambia, is included or optionally in game drives in open vehicles with local guides are available.. Day 5. Travelling north through remote African villages, to overnight camp at the remote and seldom visited Luambe National Park, with its endemic Cookesons wildebeest. Days 6+7. Driving through (or by pontoon) cross over the Luangwa River, cross into North Luangwa National Park, to camp at a reeded game camp for two nights alongside the Mwaleshi River. Day 8. Driving over the escarpment overnight in chalets at Kapishya hot springs, next to Shiwa Ngandu, Lake of the Royal Crocodile and family home of legendary Stewart Gore Browne. Days 9+10. Early morning dept in special bush vehicles, for two nights at Kasanka National Park, home of the rare and shy sitatunga antelope. Days 11+12 Spend two days exploring Bengwelu wetlands around Lake Bengwelu, in search of the Shoebill Stork. Day 13. Returning towards the capital, spend a night at a wildlife area over looking the escarpment. Day 14. Returning to Lusaka. Spend the last night at a private lodge in its own game grounds out side the cIty. Day 15. Safari ends after breakfast. Transfer to airport. Disclaimer Where as the Tour Operator has presented this itinerary in good faith, it is in the nature of a safari that for reasons beyond its control not all aspects of the itinerary may be available at the time the safari takes place. In this instance, the Tour Operator will at its discretion replace certain items, venues or routes with those of a similar or equal nature. Price. The price for the above semi-luxury option is Euro 4,250 per person per person for a minimum of two people.
