We come across a herds of Zebra and Wildebeest grazing in the open grasslands, our first chance at close up photographs. As we move on around the next bend we spot a herd of Buffalo heading to-wards the dam in the distance. We get ahead of them, we position ourselves on the banks of the dam in order to have a perfect view of their arrival at the water’s edge. When the dust settles we have a view of at least 200 or so all pushing and shoving to get a spot at the water. Mommys with babys, grandad taking up the rear, the young bellowing, splashing in the cool water as they take their daily drink. We wait and watch for a while before moving off to the near-by picnic site for a chance to stretch our legs and begin cooking our mid-morning Brunch under the monkey filled trees. After breakfast, we continue game viewing - you will see plenty different types of wildlife, whilst heading back towards the camp again. The heat of the day is spent either relaxing in camp, reading a book or around the swimming pool. Late afternoon we head out of camp again for another game drive, this time in another direction. We weave our way slowly through the hills and thick bush in search of the elusive Leopards, who are experts at blending in with the surroundings. With patience and luck we will have the chance to see one hiding in the undergrowth or sitting in a tree. Mean while we will come across all the other animals who live in this region like Duiker, White Rhino , and many species of birds as well. By sunset, we re-enter camp to freshen up once again before dinner at the fireside. B/D Day Three (or Five) : Kruger Park – JHB Arise to start the day with a morning game drive. On exiting the park, we head for the “ Panoramic Route “ which winds its way through the Drakensberg Mountains of Mpumalanga. En-route we will visit some of the highlights in the area such as Blyde River Canyon, The Three Rondavels and lastly Pilgrims Rest for Brunch.
