Day 4:

Highlights: WINELANDS AREA, ROUTE 62 and WILDLIFE RESERVE

• Depart from Cape Town in the direction of Paarl where we take the scenic Du Toits Kloof Pass.
• The first town we reach is Worcester set in the Breede River Valley. Once through Robertson, encountering farms stalls, wine farms and arts and craft shops along the way; the next town is Ashton.
• Travel on through the Montagu Pass and experience the most awe-inspiring rock formations. The historical town of Montagu, known for its hot springs is passed through.
• From here we proceed directly to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve.
• At the foot of the Warmwaterberg, in the heart of the Little Karoo, between Montagu and Barrydale on the famous Route 62, is the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, 54 000 hectares of undulating mountains and plains, indigenous fauna and flora, rock formations and rock art. Specialist guiding is a key element in providing a memorable and varied experience. The name Sanbona is a combination of the \"San\" people who roamed this area for thousands of years and \"bona\" which represents their vision in order to position this portion of the Little Karoo. The historic predator release means that for the first time in over 200 years, lion and cheetah can once again be seen in the Klein Karoo, making Sanbona the first private game reserve in the Western Cape to play host to free-roaming big cats.
• Enjoy the afternoon game drive, followed by sundowners and dinner.
