This safari takes you to the most beautiful national parks in Uganda. A pleasant combination of the dense forest of Kibale National Park, the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the clear lakes in Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 1 : Kampala - Kibale Forest (ca. 5 hours)
After breakfast we will depart Kampala and head west to Fort Portal. On your way look out for black-and-white colobus monkeys as many of these primates are hiding in trees along the road. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon and famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park for a stay within the tropical forest. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 2 : Chimp trekking & Crater Lakes area
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we will go for a drive through the Crater Lakes area. Enjoy the hundred of small clear lakes, surrounded by gentle hills and watch the daily African life in the villages. You can go for a walk around Lake Nkuruba for another meeting with different species of primates and many colourful birds. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 3 : Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park (ca. 3 hours)
In the morning transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is a beautiful route via Kasese, with the Rwenzori Mountains on your right side and the green valley on the left. A game drive on our way to the accommodation in the middle of the national park gives us the chance to spot waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.

Day 4 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins early as we gstart with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for the lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.

Day 5 : Queen Elizabeth National Park – Lake Mburo National Park (ca. 4 hours)
After breakfast you will enjoy a hike in the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve. Driving through a grassland area, all of a sudden we come across an amazing gorge of one hundred meters deep, covered with tropical rain forest. You will hike into the gorge of the Kyambura River in search of the wild chimpanzees. It is a beautiful walk through river valley, home to many primates, birds and butterfly species.
Afterwards we leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Lake Mburo National Park. As we enter the park we will make an evening game drive which enables us to spot impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp.

Day 6 : Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala (ca. 4 hours)
Early start of the day as we go for a nature walk guided by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot. Return for breakfast and then come on board for a boat ride on the lake. Enjoy the many water birds and hippos that are cooling off along the shores.
