8 Days Beach Holiday & Safari
Day 01: Jomo Kenyatta Airport - Nairobi
Arrive NBI airport meet & greet then transfer to city Hotel. Driver can be arranged to be with them at their leisure for Karen Blixen Museum during the afternoon, Carnivore restaurant in the evening. You are booked on bed and breakfast at Holiday Inn
Day 02: Nairobi-Masai Mara
Depart early morning to Mara by air. Arrive for a game drive in this ‘big game country’ famed worldwide for its high animal concentration, abundance and variety. Check into the Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. (Masai Village option can be arranged with driver at $20 extra).
Day 03: Masai Mara
Pre-breakfast game drive and another in the dusk within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its black maned lions, elephants and buffalo that make three out of the ‘big five’ though luck is essential for spotting the other two namely park’s animal concentration and abundance is second to none. Numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, and Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture.You will return for lunch at The Sopa Lodge or Keekorok Lodge. 1600 hours you is dusk game drive and you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru
Early morning drive in Masai Mara before departing for Lake Nakuru about 6 hours but can be longer depending on how many stops they want to make. Lunch en-route. Spend the night at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 05: Lake Nakuru-Nairobi-Mombasa
After breakfast proceed on a game drive in Nakuru Park, which has prolific bird life including flamingos, white pelicans and the marabou stork among others. Waterbuck and Cape buffalo can be seen near the shoreline. Rothschild’s giraffe and the white rhino are additional attractions among other species of plains game and cats like lion. With luck you may spot leopard, which is rather elusive. Lunch in Nakuru then depart for Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Transfer to airport for late morning/early afternoon flight to Mombasa – duration 1hr. Book in at the Voyager Beach Resort or Whitesands Hotel for 3 nights.
Day 06: Mombasa
At leisure in Mombasa.
Day 07: Mombasa
At leisure in Mombasa.
Day 08 : Mombasa-Nairobi
Transfer to airport for am flight back to Nairobi where you will make the connection to your international airliner. Taxi to the airport will be arranged too.
Note:
All safaris reserved are on an all inclusive basis. That is breakfast, lunch & dinner with soft drink during meals i.e. fruit juices in Masai Mara, Nakuru & Mombasa. All alcoholic beverages & extras are at their own cost. All meals eaten at hotels are buffets so that there is a large selection of food.
In Nairobi, accommodation will be on a bed & breakfast basis. This means that lunch & dinner at own cost on arrival. Only the breakfast of the following morning is taken into consideration in the hotel booking reservations are only for 1 night.
Luggage Allowance to Masai Mara:
15kg – arrangements can be made to keep any extra kilos at the travel agencies storage room.
Luggage Allowance to Mombasa:
At least 23 kgs
