Special 12-Day Adventure Kruger Safari

Kruger National Park
12-day once-in-a-lifetime safari 20 February to 3 March 2013

Meet and Greet – arrival day
You will be collected Joburg (hotel or airport) and transferred by our preferred private road transfer to Skukuza restcamp. After settling into your cottage you will get onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first gamedrive with Neil.

Skukuza restcamp (south western Kruger)
20-21 FEBRUARY 2013 (1 NIGHT)

Skukuza is the Kruger National Park's largest rest camp and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. Skukuza Restcamp is home to some interesting birds and amazing plant life.
Accommodation consists of a serviced (inc. fresh linen and towels) private en-suite cottage that sleeps two people. Wildlife in this region includes hyena, kudu, wilddogs, giraffe, roan, eland, sable, warthog, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck and rhino.

Talamati Lodge (private bushveld lodge/centralKruger)
21-23 FEBRUARY 2013 (2 NIGHTS)

This private bushveld lodge is ideally situated in the central Kruger NP. Our drives and activities include several dams, open savanna and thorn thickets with some amazing riverbeds and pools to explore. Elephants, lion and buffalo are prolific in this area as well as the endangered cheetah.
Talamati is an ideal lodge to photograph the wildlife in open savanna, and often includes remarkable sights of hunting predators, large herds of buffalo and elephants aggregating around water holes.
Your accommodation at Talamati consists an en-suite unit (fresh linen and towels) that sleeps two people. They are fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable.

Satara (restcamp/central Kruger)
23-26 FEBRUARY 2013 (3 NIGHTS)

Situated in an excellent game viewing area, Satara has relatively open bushland and the game is plentiful and diverse. Satara camp itself has a rustic charm, with the accommodation set out in a series of circles. Satara camp is well wooded and the bird-life is prolific. At night the clink of fruit bats is fused with the chirping of cicadas and crickets. Owls and nightjars add to the symphony that is punctuated by the whoop of hyena, the screech of jackal and the roar of lion.
Accommodation consists of a serviced (fresh linen and towels) private en-suite unit that sleeps two people on the fence perimeter.

Biyamiti Private Bushveld Lodge (private bushveld lodge/south eastern Kruger)
26-28 FEBRUARY 2013 (2 NIGHTS)

Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.
Accommodation at Biyamiti consists of an en-suite cottage that sleeps two people, which is fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable.

Berg-en-Dal (restcamp/south western Kruger)
28 FEBRUARY TO 3 MARCH 2013 (3 NIGHTS)
Accommodation is in a private en-suite one-bedroomed cottage under thatch that sleeps two people (fresh linen and towels), close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the dry river to bed towards the dam.
Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Bird watchers will find the appeal of Berg-en-Dal restcamp irresistible as a wide variety of birds species can be seen here. The camp has a swimming pool to cool off in during the heat of the day.

In all locations your guide and chef stay in their own cottage close by and host mealtimes from their cottage.

Comment: Thank you for the follow-up and for asking me for my feedback on my safari/holiday.

I just came back from a week in the Kruger Park . We had the priviledge to see the "big-5" (some of them more than once) and about 30 different species of animals. It was a fantastic experience! The service provided by this tour operator was excellent!

Our guide, Neil, shared his passion and his extensive knowledge of the Kruger and went out of its way to meet our needs. It didn't go unnoticed and was really appreciated by everyone! We were also thoroughly spoilt by Gordon who managed to cook fabulous meals for everybody's taste.

Without Tina's patience who looked after all the arrangements/logistics and her personal touch this fabulous trip wouldn't have been possible.

I am definitely looking forward to another adventure with them and would certainly recommend them to others.

Comment: Going on Safari with them was the most awsome, exciting, mind blowing and educational experience of my lifetime.

I have travelled extensively throughout the world for many years. I travelled to Churchill Canada recently where I observed and photographed Beluga Whales and Polar Bears which at the time was the best thing I had experienced....but then I went on safari in the Kruger! THAT experience far exceeded my expectations.

Coming from as far away as Australia...it was amazing to see such wonderful wildlife and indeed to be educated by Neil about the animals, people and environment of the Kruger. I appreciated his willingness to share his passion and knowledge with us and I loved listening to his stories of life in the Kruger National Park.

I feel happy, thankful and lucky that I chose to experience the wonders of the Kruger with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in experiencing a safari in South Africa.

Comment: This is my wife and I's second trip sourced through Africa Guide and both have been
excellent.

Our trip was thoroughly enjoyable. We'd just enjoyed an amazing 5 days in Sabi Sands in a private lodge and had some fabulous experiences so were somewhat doubtful whether the Kruger Safari could come up to expectations. We needn't have worried!

Neil is an excellent guide and great company on safari as well as having everything organised extremely well. We managed to see all that we had hoped for wildlife wise and all enhanced by Neil's experience and anecdotes following his many years in the bush. He and Gordon, his excellent assistant, even managed to cater for our vegetarian diet with a good variety of different meals. We would definitely like to travel with Neil again and would certainly use Africa Guide as a starting point for sourcing future Africa trips.
