Brief information about this safari:
The safari departs from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, located about 250 km South of Nairobi and lying at the foot of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for its big game and great scenic beauty - the entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro.
After Amboseli there is a day/night break in Nairobi so as to cut short the driving distances, before proceeding to Sweetwaters Game Reserve. While in Nairobi, enjoy a walk at “The Nairobi Safari Walk”, which is quite an adventurous experience, and as well visit Giraffe Centre, with a chance to feed the giraffes.
Sweetwaters Game Reserve is a private sanctuary near the foot of Mt. Kenya, with variety of wildlife. Among the highlights at the reserve include a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary located within the reserve, which is the only one of its kind in Kenya, a visit to Morani the tame rhino, the Visitors Information Centre and the optional night game drive. It will certainly be worth your time to stay here for 2 nights (1 full day).
The safari then proceeds to the floor of the Rift Valley, to Lake Nakuru National Park, world famous for flamingos that carpet the lake. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino.
Lake Naivasha will be your next stop, where the family will enjoy a boat ride on the lake and a guided walking safari at Crescent Island, one of the few places in the world where one can walk freely amidst wild animals – there are no predators.
The highlight of the safari is the finally the visit to Maasai Mara, arguably Kenya's most popular game sanctuary, where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five- lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.

As an overall response I must say that our tour was extremely rewarding and that the services provided by the operator were excellent - until the last day.
Our guide was both knowledgeable and skillful. He was particularly considerate of our ages and physical limitations. Our respect for the beauty of Kenya and the friendliness of its citizens has increased beyond description. Despite the depressing poverty that we saw I admire the positive attitude of the people.
The only negative was our last day and that was a very disappointing and costly one. Our itinerary was for us to return to Nairobi after an early morning game drive and to overnight at the same hotel in which we had begun the safari. But then it was suggested that we consider changing the plan to stay in the Maasai Mara instead. The idea was to afford us additional opportunities to view the wildlife. Both hotels are part of the same chain. However, the operator said that because we had booked the Nairobi hotel through a US agent she couldn't help so we dealt with the Sarova Mara Tented Camp ourselves. With the amount of business given to the Sarova chain by the operator it seems that they should have pushed harder. In addition to paying a hefty premium for the reservation change that was made and for an added day of safari we found out, after the fact, that we had to pay an additional day's park fees. All that we got in return was a short morning safari ride. We didn't even get the promised "early morning game drive" on our day that we returned to Nairobi.

Comment:
We had a great time during the safari. It was very well organised by Serah. She was very helpfull and arranged a pick-up from the airport for free.
During the safari we were overwhelmed by our helpfull driver Chris. We stayed at the Mara Sopa lodge which had very good facilities and food. Our children remember the special evening 31th Dec and the attention of the guide.
We have seen very much wildlife and were excited by the scenery. Chris showed us around and was a part of our family that time. We visited also a masai village with all kind of ceremonies. Really nice for the children.
We enjoyed this safari very much. We really recommend this safari and company!
