Itinerary

Northern Tanzania Safari - 4 Days

Day 1: Arusha National Park
- In the morning drive to Arusha National park for game viewing. The compact Arusha National Park is remarkable for its range of habitats. It encompasses tree varied zones: the highland montane forest of Mount Meru (3'820 m) to the west, where black and white colobus and blue monkeys can be spotted; Ngurdoto Crater, a small volcanic crater inhabited by a variety of mammals in the southeast of the park; and, to the northeast, Momela Lakes, a series of seven alkaline crater lakes, home to a large number of water birds. On a clear day it is possible to see the summits of both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru from Ngurdoto Crater rim. There are numerous hides and picnic sites throughout the park, giving travelers an opportunity to leave their vehicles.
Lunch, dinner and overnight Momela, Arusha.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
- After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. At certain times of the year, Lake Manyara is home to thousands of flamingos (attracted by the Lake itself), which form a shimmering pink zone around the lake shore. Other birds found here include ostriches, egrets, herons, pelicans and storks. Also seen are African spoonbills, various species of ibises, ducks and the rare pygmy geese. The most noticeable of the landscape within this park are the very impressive baobab trees with their huge trunks.
lunch, dinner and overnight Manyara.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
- After breakfast transfer to Ngorongoro with packed lunch descend into the crater for a day game viewing. There are an estimated 30,000 animals living in the crater. Encounters with animals are frequent and there is a wide variety of game in the crater. These include lions, elephants and rhinos as well as buffaloes, Thompson's gazelles, wildebeests and zebras. You are also likely to see ostriches and Lake Magadi, the soda lake at the floor of the crater, is home to thousands of flamingos. There are also dive - bombing kites which are recognized for their skills of snatching visitors' foods at the Lerai forest, which is a good place for a picnic lunch.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.

Day 4: Olduvai Gorge
- After breakfast drive to the Olduvai gorge, an archaeological site,- famous for its palaeontological relics, lunch at Ngorongoro. After lunch drive back to Arusha via Mto wa mbu social market.

Comment: I was impressed with the operator before I even left the country.

Chislon, my coordinator was able to accommodate me to make a unique itinerary. I am 18 and traveling alone, so it was really difficult to find safari coordinators willing to work with my budget, and most dismissed me.

My guide and driver Eddie was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and hilarious! He kept me laughing the entire trip. Traveling alone I was apprehensive about who my guide would be because I knew that I'd be with that person for 5 days as my only company, with Freddie my company couldn't have been better.

Comment: Here is our feedback for our tour. We just can say that everything was really perfect organised :) Through our whole tour we were really happy and more than satisfied with the organisation of our trip.

It starts with a perfect an really quick and helpfull e-mail contact from the beginning of our tour-plans. Everything was going on right with our money and was organised as we´ve agreed.

On tour our guide was real good informed about nature ... and a real perfect cook :)

Well, we just can really laud them and recommend everyone to do a tour with this tour operator. We´ve never thought that our trip would be this unforgettable as it was.

Great thanks to the operator. It´s sure that we´ll contact them again for our next time in Africa.

Kind regards from Austria,
Angelika & Martin

Comment: we have just returned after our trip and we had a fantastic time.

Our guide Apollo was very good he took us strait to all the animals. Sometimes we couldn't see them till he showed us. The lodges and tented Lodges were very good, we
were surprised how luxurious they were. The food was up to a very high standard including the packed lunches.

I would like to thank you for a perfect Safari and we will be using this operator again.

Comment: Our safari was great. The operator was very helpful during the planning process and were able to accomodate our requests - such as, changing the beginning city of the tour and also adding sidetrips to the regular tour. In addition we wanted to have lunches away from the lodges - other companies had said it was not possible - we did it and found most
companies also brought box lunches for their guests.

Most importantly the company provided us with a wonderful guide, whose english was great, whose knowledge of the area and animals was vast and who was very friendly. Our
guide made the whole trip a fantastic experience. My cousin lives in TZ, speaks Swahili, and she was very impressed with our guide, Huruma - his experience in the field and how easy he made it for us. I was impressed with his relationship with guides from other companies - I saw other guides showing him respect. He is a natural. If I were going again, I would ask specifically for him.

Many thanks to this safari operator. I would do it again with them in a heartbeat.
