Meet and Greet – arrival day You will be transferred from Nelspruit airport by our preferred road operator that will meet and transfer you to the Kruger to meet your guide and your chef.
Onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first memorable gamedrive and your introduction to the world-famous Kruger National Park.
Spend five days enjoying this private small group Kruger National Park safari with a qualified trails ranger and field guide viewing the wildlife from our open game viewing vehicle.
Berg-en-Da/ (restcamp/south western Kruger) (4 NIGHTS)
Berg-en-Dal hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, some elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog. Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Lion are usually found in the lower plains on the roads to Skukuza and Crocodile Bridge. Bird watchers will find the appeal of the camp irresistible as a wide variety of birds species can be seen here. The swimming pool is the perfect place to cool off in the heat of the day. Accommodation is in two private en-suite cottages under thatch (fresh linen and towels) that each sleep three people close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the river to bed towards the dam. The restcamp also has a swimming pool to cool off in during the heat of the day.
Your guide and chef take up residence in another unit from where they will host your meals, fireside conversations and great hospitality.
Departure day On your last day after breakfast and an early monring gamedrive you will be collected and transferred back to Nelspruit airport.
Safari includes: Return road transfers from Nelspruit airport to Kruger.
All accommodation in private en-suite accommodation (fresh linen and towels).
Conservation and entrance fees.
All private guiding and game drives in our open-sided game viewing vehicle (see pic below).
All breakfasts, dinners, gamedrive snacks and refreshments courtesy our safari chef.
Refreshments include: Limited South African beer and wine and sodas at dinner, all fresh juice and bottled water.
All safari activities as per itinerary (including two gamedrives a day and a morning guided bush walk).

We very much enjoyed the holiday.
The only anxiety we had was having to make a bank transfer and not be able to pay by credit card. However, the company is very honest and provided everything that was promised and that we expected – including the discount - alongside lots of amiable safari rides for the 5 days. The food and accommodation was very good and we would strongly recommend the company to others.
I hope we can visit Africa again and will use your portal having now had two very successful safaris.

My daughter and I had an incredible journey.
The Kruger was more impressive than we could have imagined and our guide, Neil, was knowledgeable about the birds, the animals, and the plants and trees. His passion for the park was obvious and one can understand why. The food provided was excellent, plentiful and always served with a smile by Gordon.
We thought the trip was very reasonably priced and would recommend the tour operator to others.

My wife Diana and I had a wonderful Safari. Neil was a wonderful ambassador for the Kruger and his intimate knowledge of animal behaviour, his patience and advice brought great rewards in seeing the real Kruger and its wildlife. We were not there to ‘tick boxes’ but to have a first-hand experience and knowledge of the natural history of the area.
The back-up service, camp facilities and cooking arrangements ‘al fresco’ suited us down to the ground, and the fact that we had to be up with the animals at the break of dawn was a very rewarding experience.
I would recommend anyone who wanted to see the real Kruger and experience the Natural History first-hand to join Neil in one of his future adventures (safaris). Gordon, who cooked for us and provided the back-up logistics support was a great character.
Full marks, we would love to do it again!

We inquired about a safari through The Africa Guide website on short notice.
The operator immediately tried to accommodate our itinerary and offered us a four-day safari in Kruger park. It would be the two of us and our guide, Neil, for the duration of the trip. They helped us arrange transportation from Nelspruit airport and that was fine.
Neil met us at the gate, welcomed us and took us for our first game drive that afternoon, where we saw an adult lion resting at sunset. The following days were filled with sightings of beautiful animals out in their natural environment. In the mornings, we would be out as soon as possible when the park gates opened. Neil prepared flasks of coffee for our mid-morning break and offered us the best homemade rusks.
During the game drives Neil spoke of the animals, their behaviors, and their habitat. He was incredibly knowledgeable and showed great respect for the animals and their environment. We saw and learned so much.
We would most definitely go on safari again with them.

South Africans should visit Kruger national park not only on vacation to see the animals, but regularly, to visit their heritage and learn their history, guide Neil says.
He could have added that this applies to all visitors to the park, who can not only visit one of the world's richest ecosystems, but the soul of South Africa.
His unique tours of the great park, offering 24-hour guidance and a five star chef, have provided us with a treasured range of emotions, a life-time of memories, and a stern resolve to return and visit the rest of the Kruger.
It's one thing to see the animals, it's quite another to understand their attitude and behavior. He makes sure you miss nothing of the bush's continuous and extraordinary adventure. Just try to blink as little as possible on one of their tours.

Our trip was incredible!
With Neil as our guide and Doug as the chef providing fantastic meals, all of our needs were met down to the last detail including my specific request to see as few bi-peds as possible.
Neil's expertise, professionalism and enthusiasm were profound. His ability to understand the animals, where they were going, or wanted to go, and how to position us enabled us to have the most wonderful sightings and to witness fantastic animal interactions.
He also shared his depth of knowledge of tracks and the glorious bird life of the Kruger. We loved it all and wished it didn't have to end.

5 day Private Luxury Safari We were a little apprehensive choosing a Safari via the Internet , having never been to Africa or on a safari !
Any fears were quickly dispelled when Neil collected us from the airport & took us to 5th Avenue Guest House. The hospitality of Doug , Erica & all the staff at 5th Ave. was first class, as was the food.
The safari was excellent & we saw a large number of birds & animals ( some very up close and personal ! ) despite difficult viewing conditions (very long grass & ample surface water ).
Neil & his assistant Craig showed great knowledge and love of the Kruger and its inhabitants. Our 2 Camps, safari vehicles , the food ( thanks Craig ) and the service were first class. Nothing was a trouble.
We can thoroughly necommend this safari and tour operator as a great introduction to Africa.

Certainly the highlight of our trip to SA was our safari.
Choosing a company and guide only through an internet search felt a bit risky at the time, but we can report that we were completely satisfied.
All services were delivered as represented and in a most professional manner. While we have no previous experience to compare to - we feel that we must have had the best guide in all of S.A.! Neil is passionate about his country, the Kruger and his job and of course that is demonstrated in the course of his interaction with his clients.
We have no doubt that our animal sightings were enabled and enhanced by his skillful knowledge and tracking - and we were able to see both lion and leopard kills - along with some other unique sightings.
All in all, a wonderful experience with memories to last a lifetime. Congratulations to the tourism industry of South Africa for promoting and delivering such quality products..
