Our unique relationship with our tour operators ensures only people who have participated in a trip after making an enquiry for it at The Africa Guide can leave a review.
The email we send you when you make an enquiry has full instructions for registering a booking and leaving a review - both are free services.
Feel free to read through the reviews for any trip you like the look of.
Trips with no reviews are usually new to the The Africa Guide but are normally operated by a tour operator who is established here. Most tour operators listing here will usually have gained reviews about other trips they have listed here.
Thanks for visiting, happy travels and don't forget to send us your reviews...
Thanks for everything. We had a wonderful time in Egypt. Everything went smoothly from Airport pickup to departure, including tours and hotels and cruise. We were very satisfied.
We would like to thank especially Rasha, driver Ayman, And Mr. Foad for taking care of us in Cairo.
We will be very glad to recommend this operator to anyone of our acquiantance planning a tour of ancient Egypt.
Finally, I came back with a favourable impression of Egyptian Government for taking extra precaution and security to protect the foreign tourists from terrorists.

My tour surpassed all expectations. Ms. Kamel accommodated every request and lived up to her great reviews. No effort was spared in providing me with a memorable experience.
I'd highly recommend the service with no qualifications.

We had a great time in Egypt and in general had a good experience with this operator. There were a few issues - nothing serious, but in our view would improve their offering.
One thing I would like you to post - a Nile Cruise is probably the most disappointing experience I have ever had (I have travelled to more than 60 countries and had my fair share of good and bad experiences). I expected some kind of "romantic" experience - but how wrong was I.
Basically for the 4 days it was a convoy of 300 cruise ships. All of these going to Quay at the same time at the same temples. For the four days we basically were covered in diesel fumes from the other ships. As for the tours, 300 ships, each with 3 guides and their groups of min 20 people - all at the same time trying to view these marvellous buildings - you do the maths and think how "pleasant" that is.
Except for the Nile Cruise - Egypt was Magic - fantastic and so full of experiences. It is easy to get Toombed out though and it is vital not to try to do too much at the same time.
Egypt - strongly recommended; ....the Nile Cruise - a waste of time and money.
Kind regards Christian Ingerslev
Tour Operators Reply:
We are sorry that the Nile Cruise was a disappointment for Christian. The time he choose to travel was during peak season and Egypt is an extremely popular destination.
At at point in the cruise a road bridge needs to be raised which means they need to stop the road traffic. So to lessen the disruption in road traffic, they wait for all cruise ships to meet up, then open bridge letting the cruise ships through in one go. They are currently constructing a new lock in Esna and hopefully that will help smooth this section of the Nile in the future. I do not think when actually cruising down the Nile they are all together.
Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the Nile Cruises.
The cruises do time their arrival at the temples so they arrive together. This is purely for security reasons- since the recent unrest throughout the world and after 9/11 security in Egypt has been stepped up. The tourist police feel they can provide better protection for the tourists if they arrive together rather than individually. This is much like the convoys system that is in place if travelling by road.
In our opinion the Nile Cruise is very interesting and has, over the years, proved very popular with tourists - we very rarely get complaints as you can see from the feedback so far.
I am pleased that overall Christian enjoyed his holiday in Egypt.

The holiday was a once in a lifetime trip. The tour was a hectic schedule of monuments that were breath-taking. The cruise on the Nile was a welcome slowing down of pace to the touring. Particularly enjoyed the stay at the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan - its architechture and landscaped garden overlooking the banks of the Nile.
