This 4 days safari features Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara Park.
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world which has been described as one of the greatest natural wonders of the world and is home to many species of wild game and birds. With the exception of impala and topi, almost every species of African plains mammal lives in the crater including the endangered black rhino.
Lake Manyara National Park is two thirds water, one third dry land and is also home to a spectacular concentration of game for such a small area. The park is famous for Flamingos that carpet the lake and lions that sprawl on trees.

Comment:
Our Tanzania safari package was a private lodge safari for two to Lake Manyara, the Serengeti plains and Ngorongoro Conservation area and caldera.
We had limited time and the tour company was flexible and tailored our package to include these aforementioned sites within a short 4 day/3 night trip. Our package also included a one-way flight from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro and one-way return from Arusha to Nairobi via Impala shuttle.
We were very satisfied with our experience including the lodging, food and service provided by the Serena Lodges, game drives in a 4x4 Landcruiser vehicle, and interaction with our knowledgable and professional driver/guide.
Within a relatively short time frame, we were also able to see many animals, had some time for shopping, visited Olduvai Gorge and museum, as well as visited a Masai village, all with the help and suggestions of our wonderful driver/guide. For example, our guide suggested we saved time by packing lunch rather than returning to the hotels for lunch, which we were glad we did since we wanted to spend more time on game drives. The tour company was also helpful and professional throughout the booking process, replied to e-mails in a timely manner, and we had no problems with the money transfer for payment of the tour.
The only aspect of the safari that we would have changed would be to take a return flight to Nairobi rather than take the shuttle. The shuttle was advertised as taking approx. 3 and 1/2 hours from Arusha to Nairobi. Instead, it took us nearly 8 hours to get to our hotel in Nairobi. This may have been due to current roadwork being done on the route from Arusha to Nairobi, and the shuttle having to slowly traverse bumpy unpaved roads. We wish the tour company could have advised us of how long the shuttle would really take, so that we could have made a different decision about our return transportation to Nairobi.
Overall, we would highly recommend booking a tour with this company as well as staying at the Serena Lodges. On a side note, we found visiting Tanzania in late May to be a wonderful time of year in terms of weather, which was mostly mild and sunny.
