Southern Circuit:
This eleven-day tour was most successful. The programme was altered to suit us, as arranged before booking.
We travelled on our own, as a couple, with a driver-guide and a guide who was also the cook. We appreciated the African dishes he made.
The parks were amazing, the animals most interesting. The roads are very rough in many areas, so the driving was very difficult but he managed with great care.
The camping was mixed, some in fixed tents some in huts but all were adequate. One night spent on a campsite where we were the only occupants was particularly memorable.

Day 1 - Selous Game Reserve - Pick up from Dar es Salaam international airport to begin your safari with picnic lunch packed. - Evening gamedrive followed by dinner & overnight at Mloka campsite.
Day 2 - Selous Game Reserve - 08:00 Full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve with picnic lunches. - Dinner and overnight at Mloka campsite
Day 3 - Selous Game Reserve - 07:00 Early morning walking safari before breakfast. - Lunch at the Camp. Then proceed with gamedrive till evining - Dinner and overnight at Mloka campsite
Day 4 - Selous Game Reserve - 08:00 Collect lunch boxes and depart for a full day game drive - Dinner and overnight at Mloka campsite
Day 5 - Mikumi National Park - 07:00 Collect lunch boxes and depart for Mikumi. - Dinner and overnight at Genesis Motel.
Day 6 - Ruaha National Park - 06:00 Early depart for Ruaha National Park. Lunch at Iringa MD Hotel. - Evening game drive in Ruaha Park. - Dinner and overnight at Msembe Bandas(Park HQ)
Day 7 - Ruaha National Park - 08:00 With lunch boxes, depart for a full day game drive. - Dinner and overnight at Msembe Bandas.
Day 8 - Mikumi National Park - 06:00 Early depart for Mikumi Park. Lunch at Genesis motel. - Evening game drive in Mikumi Park. - Dinner and overnight at Genesis motel.
Day 9 - Mikumi National Park - 08:00 Morning game drive in Mikumi Park. - 12:00 Lunch at Kikoboga camp. Afternoon drive back toDar es Salaam - Dinner and overnight in Dar es Salaam - Courtyard Hotel
Day 10 - Bagamoyo - 08.30 After breakfast, depart northwards of Dar es Salaam to Bagamoyo. - Visit the Kaole Ruins. Then drive for dinner and overnight at Paradise holiday resort.
Day 11 - Bagamoyo - After after breakfast, there is a lot to visit here. - You will visit the Catholic Museum, learn about the slave trade, early european explorers Burton, Speke, Stanley and Livingston. - Dinner and overnight at Paradise holiday resort
Day 12 - Zanzibar - Depart after breakfast back to Dar es Salaam, connecting flight to Zanzibar. - Arrive at airport and transfer to Stone Town - International Hotel.
Day13 - Zanzibar - Depart from the hotel for a visit of the Historical Town. Lunch at the Old Arab Fort. - Afternoon at leisure. - 1700 Depart from the hotel for a sunset cruise along Stone Town waterfront. - Stop at Forodhani gardens for a glance of the evening life. - Dinner at Blues Restaurant. Overnight in Stone Town.
Day 14 - Zanzibar - Depart from the Hotel and transfer to Kizimbani Village. - Tour of the village farms of vegetables and Spices. - Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 - Zanzibar - After breakfast an extensive tour of the Stone town. - Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 16 - Zanzibar - After breakfast, Spice tour, - this is a tour to some wonderful gardens containing exotic and endemic Spice and fruit trees. Alos visit the Maruhubi Palace Ruins & Kidichi Persian Baths.
Day 17 - Zanzibar - After breakfast, you have the morning free. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam. - Arrival Dar airport and transfer to your hotel. Dinner (on your own). Overnight at Courtyard Hotel.
Day 18 - Dar es Salaam - After breakfast, pack and check out of hotel. Do a half day city tour of Dar es Salaam - Lunch on your own. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
