We had a fabulous time. We had John as our driver guide and Benson as our cook... he is an amazing cook!
We saw Tarangire, Manyara and Serengeti national parks and the Ngorongoro conservation area. It was an amazing safari, John was an excellent guide, the car was an older version landcruiser, but very comfortable and suited to the safari as it had a pop up roof for photographing the animals and comfy seats.
The tent was great and the staff almost always managed to pack up and set up everything before we had a chance to help so we felt lazy but was nice to have it all done for us. We saw all the big 5 plus many other amazing animals and would definately recommend the company to others.
They have an office in Arusha and very competent customer service staff that went beyond duty to help us with going around Arusha to sort our money troubles when our bank had issues sending money from Australia.
Only suggested improvement was a bit more confidence from the guide in terms of engaging us, he had a great knowledge base but seemed shy in divulging the info, we had to ask a lot of questions. all in all a solid 8.5 out of 10! We had a great time with them.

Our safari was wonderful!, The Tangerine and the Ngorongoro parks were beautiful and we saw a lot of animals, although Lake Manyara was not so nice, may be because of the season we went, we couldn't see so many animals there.
John our driver was nice and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the Octagon Lodge, the service was very good and the installation nice.

I had a memorable safari.
The personnel were wonderful people to deal with, from booking, to the guide. Neema was a delight to work with as I made my reservations. She was patient and prompt with answers to any questions I had.
Huruma, my guide was very knowledgable and pleasant. He took the time to inform me on vegetation, birds, animals and history of the Sengetti and Ngorongoro. The food was good.... Ben (our cook) did a great job.
All went smoothly, from being picked up at the airport to the resrvations at the hotel (which they made for me). Everything was taken care of... Huruma made sure I was settled in at the hotel before he left for the evening.
I would recommend this operator for others to use as a tour operator.

We did the two day safari to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro crater. I was a bit worried at first that as we were taking the cheaper option we would miss out on seeing some animals or that we would still want more at the end - not true.
The 2 days were fantastic, we saw virtually all the animals we hoped to see (including a male lion pee on our jeep), stayed in the fantastic Lodge Safari in our own log fire cabin and by the end of it were ready to head to the beach.
Our tour guide was friendly and very informed. The only down side was that they messed up part of our itinerary so we had to leave the Ngorongoro crater about 4 hours early to fly back to Dar Es Salaam (relatively to two days this was quite a bit), and the day at the crater was definitely the better of the two.

Overall we had a wonderful safari experience. We were greeted at a designated meeting place by Dyness, with whom we had corresponded, and our driver, Antone. Both of these employees were friendly and gracious. Antone was skilled in finding most of the animals we hoped to see and gave us lots of information about them.
The Tarangire Sopa Lodge was incredible - we had no idea how nice that would be. Each of the parks was unique, and we enjoyed seeing the different landscapes and numerous animals throughout.
A couple of negatives concerning our safari: we were disappointed that we did not see the Big Five. We had hoped to see cheetahs, cougars, and black rhinos, but were unsuccessful. Also, after being picked up extra early on our third day to make the most of the day, twenty minutes into our trip, the car broke down and we waited on the side of the road for 2 1/2 hours for a replacement car. That may be the reason our visit to Ngorongoro Crater was somewhat disappointing (we didn't see much there). We felt that some sort of compensation should have been offered, as we arrived back in Arusha nearly 3 hours late which was an inconvenience to our son, who was meeting us there.
Also, though the Lake Manyara Octogan Lodge was very nice, it was strange to be the ONLY guests there. We would have liked to enjoy a leisurely drink at the bar before dinner, but they wanted to serve us right at 7:00, which only gave us time to shower and then eat. We would have preferred lodging more similar to the Sopa Lodge.
All in all, we definitely enjoyed the safari and realize that this was a once in a lifetime experience for us.
Tour Operators Reply:
We are greatly sorry for what happened during your trip. As for past experiences with safari/tours, one can not predict the situation (seeing the big five or not) or and I may say the break down of a vehicle.
Once we received the news that the vehicle broke down, with effective action and concern we did our level best to get another vehicle in time for you and your fellow mates to continue with the safari.
All in all I would like to apologize for any nuisances caused. If you decide to come back for a tour in any East African country or if you have any friends who would be interested, through you we promise a great discount.

It was a great trip. We were well takin care of, they made sure that we were comfortable in our hotel(The African) and very knowlegable of the local areas.
John(our guide) did an extremely great job. Answering questions about local towns and areas as well as the animals of both Lake Manyara and Ngorogoro. I, personally really enjoyed our stay at the Octagon. And once again John made sure that we were well takin care of. The road going down into the creater was a bit nerve-racking for some of us but they managed to get through it. Its all part of the journey.
I would surely recommend these guys to anyone looking to go on a safari holiday. Although their office is a bit difficult to find, the local people around were more than helpful in helping us locate it.
All in all it was a great trip.

We did have a very good safari. All in all, they provided us very good service and value for money.
Our guide, Anton, was very knowledgeable and flexible to adjust to our needs and timings. Chislon, our main travel contact at the company, was very helpful and responsive both to requests and email. This made us feel at easy and comfortable with the company, something quite important when dealing with a less known local company and when having to pay upfront 50% of trip costs.
We got very nice rooms in the hotels we booked through them and our guide was prompty on time every morning to pick us up.
Two areas of improvement I find could be beneficial to travellers: - Get new and better safari vehicles: the one we drove in, though sturdy, was visibly very tired and very very slow (we drove way slower that speed limits in quite empty roads). This made our ride not so comfortable and enjoying at all times. Other outfitters we saw at crater had visibly better vehicles. Friends that chose a different provider were extremely happy with their rides.
- Make sure driver has everything with him when picking up travellers: On Day 1 of our trip, we spent couple of hours going back to Arusha and with our guide to buy the box lunch and water for the following days. In Arusha's midday traffic, it took what seemed like ages and lead to a shorter safari day that day. Something that could be fixed very easily, i would think.
I hope this helps. Thanks for connecting us with the operator !

We had an absolutely fantastic trip , it was organised superbly from start to finish.
On safari, our guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic - they also spoke extremely good English which was great for us. The lodges that we stayed in were incredibly luxurious and the food was delicious.
We also stayed in Zanzibar after our safari which was equally well organised. The resort, literally was right on the beach and the atmosphere was really relaxing. We had the option of going snorkelling, diving or simply sunbathing and drinking cocktails in the pool bar! Amazing!
I would truly recommend the operator to anybody. The planning was really thorough and they were great value for money as well.

We have just returned home from our African trip, it was wonderful.
Our guide - Potsoon - was so kind and knowledgable. He really helped us enjoy what Africa in the Arusha area was all about. He was willing and able to change the itinerary slightly to accommodate our desires to see and do different things. We appreciated the effort that the operator made to make our visit comfortable and economical.
We look forward to returning to Africa someday, and would considerusing them again.
