I am pleased to say that my safari/holiday was wonderful.
I delt with Nadia for everything except my hotel reservations. She was quite helpful and took care of all my needs. We communicated through emails and I called her once I had arrived in South Africa. The service was second to none.
She booked me with a 5 day walking safari. The safari group consisted of myself and 7 others with 2 guides. I was apprehensive at first traveling alone, but I could not have emagined that I would meet such wonderful people. Also the guides were very knowledgable and went the extra mile to insure that we all had a memerable experience.
The camp was more that i expected and I could not have been more comfortable. Although I have never been on a safari before this trip and have nothing to compare it too I give it a 10 out of 10. I would recomend this package to anyone, weither they are traveling alone or as a family. The 5 to 6 hour hikes in the morning were pleasant and gave me the opportunity to see the small details of the bush, and the afternoon and evening drives were amazing as we were able to get close to lots of game.
Unfortunately we did not see and of the big cats but a 30 minute encounter with a male elephant at less than 20 meters made up for anything I didn't see.

Comment:
I did a 3 day walking safari. Liesel made all the arrangements for accommodation in Johannesburg before and after the safari for me - all done over the internet and everything was very smoothly organised.
Our two rangers were Brett and Brett and we had a great 3 days with them. They were great fun to be with. Their enthusiasm and knowledge of the bush was impressive and they looked after us very well.
My only minor criticisms would be that some of the zips on the tents need to be repaired. As we were in a non-mosquito season it wasn't a major problem, but I would have been concerned if I had been there in summer. Also I thought the quality/quantity of the food could be improved - over-emphasis on meat - more offerings of fruit and salads perhaps in addition to the meat would have catered more for all tastes.
That said, two of the four people on the safari with me thought the food was great.
It was a great experience and I would definitely book with them again.
Regards Veronica
Itinerary
Day of Arrival: On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, please proceed to the car rental building where you will be met by your driver in front of the Europcar Rental Office at 06h15 or 10h30. The journey to the reserve takes approximately six hours. On arrival you will meet your ranger who will explain the rest of the day’s activities.
Days in Kruger National Park: Your days will start with a wakeup call at 5am followed by early morning tea / coffee, muffins and rusks. We then head off on our morning game walk, which will bring us back to camp for brunch after 3 to 4 hours. You then have a few hours to relax at the facilities of the camp, before meeting again in the afternoon for tea and a light lunch. Afterwards, we head off on our afternoon and night game drive, which will take about 3 to 4 hours. On return at the camp, we share our day’s experiences over a pre-dinner drink, followed by dinner at the lodge. We end off the day with coffee/tea around the camp fire, before retiring for the night. One of the unique advantages of a small safari camp is that the activities can be tailored to your specific needs. For example, if the guides hear lions roaring close to camp at night, they will often knock on your door and ask if you would like to go and find them. In addition, if you only want to only go on game drives this too can be arranged.
Day of Departure: On the day of departure you will still go out for one last walk. Sniffing the typical scents of the bush you’ll realize how much you’ve learned already! After breakfast it’s time to pack up and we say our goodbyes and transfer you back to the city.
Included in the price: Roundtrip airport shuttle transfers, accommodation, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, coffee, tea and two safari activities per day.
Not included in the price: Travel insurance, flights, pre and post tour accommodation, optional activities, all drinks, telephone calls, gratuities, curios and all personal expenses.
